for USDNOK, daily swap for short positions is about 7.6 pips (compared to USDSEK!! 1/2 )

we repeat again any currency opened position with wrong lots = 2, is cancelled, (we put it on entry point+few pips to compensate for swap)

our original continued position are that with 0,20 lots.
below USDSEK with 2 lots (will be removed = hit entry point) and we will continue with 0.20 lots to our target.

I've subscribed and if the opportunity arises for me to contribute I'll certainly give some input. Exotics aren't my strong suit, so I may be learning more than anything here. Very interesting thread Macd-rsi!

any contribution is heartily welcomed, even different opinions.

regarding exotics like usdzar, usdnok , usdmxn, etc ... i think you will change your opinion. it is much better than SLEEPY famous 28 pairs.

assume all market pairs carry a high degree of ambiguity, expect for USDSEK?? it is a chance when there is no other chance.

Just taking a look at it, I'd say it's a great buying opportunity. But I rely on fundamentals so I'd like to get down to the reason behind the strength. Just to get started I bought a small amount to test it out. 39 pip spread. I'm thinking pip value is low with high volatility? I'm in long and since it at its highest levels in about 20 years, I'm going to rely on a trailing stop at certain amount of profit.

Here's a chart going back as far as I could. I'm doing research into this pair to familiarize myself. Good stuff.

pip value almost one 10th (1/10)of EURUSD pipValue
but it is 10 times faster.
it spread, look at by dividing by 10 also. usually this air cover it quickly.

its accurate pip value for 5th decimal is always = 1/USDSEK
for 4th decimal is always = 10/USDSEK (normal case)
for 3th decimal is always = 100/USDSEK (my case since it is in this way almost equivalent to EURUSD PV)

Target: 155 Pips(1400)
StopLoss: Weekly close above 1534 except first week after execution.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. Very helpful. Earlier this year the biggest Nordic banks were urging intervention to prop up the krona. They never did it but it's not out of the question. They intervened in 2001. Perhaps that level may have significance and a good area to get the heck out. Here are some things I've learned that may be contributing to the recent and current weakness, along with some other thoughts:

  1. exports account for half of Sweden's output, making them very sensitive to the US-China trade disputes. I don't think the upcoming negotiations, if they take place at all, will result in any substantial agreements. Neither side is willing to compromise and they aren't shy about it. That bodes will for this long position.
  2. The Riksbank has lost a lot if not all credibility in the market after wrong calls on a number of things as well as their projection of higher rates in the face of global easing.
  3. Some Swedish banks are calling for a year-end squeeze and further depreciation in the Krona against the euro and the dollar. As much as 2.5% more. The Krona is standing alone as the poorest performer of the major currencies.

I'm just getting started but appreciate you getting me involved in what looks like a good opportunity. I have very small lot sizes so the trades are only significant in terms of learning. But I also opened up a long position in the EUR/SEK. Regardless of Euro weakness, most of what I'm reading is leading me to believe that it's worth jumping into, at least to learn.

what is the difference b/w SWED account and account of pending orders, named "FOR BUDDIES"??
They have the same pairs, but SWED account with graded orders with a high degree of risk.

SWED account now:
USDSEK: 58 Lots, sell, average entry: 9.9342
USDNOK: 37 Lots, sell, average entry: 9.1599

look, the same pairs in our main account.
