Would you mind explaining ... why did you take the embedded supply instead of waiting for confirmation ? ....

If i may,
The weekly chart seemed to make taking the embedded zone feasible, with the strong persistent move away from it, removing demand levels as it went down.
It is not always possible to find quality embedded zones and it is in those instances that confirmation entries may be unavoidable
Lastly, the added element of trader individuality comes into play. Many traders are not at all comfortable taking an embedded zone because it means they are in a sense calling end of a move. Other traders are more shall we say "aggressive" (and i definitely do not mean that in a bad way at all, it's just a different type of personality). Those traders will put more filters but are quite willing to take an embedded zone that passes those filters.
Neither is good or bad, just different.

I want to thank you for sharing all your good knowledge and hard work so openly with the rest of the world. You are a good man for just considering it. Thank you once again. I have been at the forex game for quite some time (on and off). I have even taken some courses, but I got ripped off, eventually. Even after all of that, I still did not grasp the forex market quite yet. It seems like the more I learn about forex, the more confused I get with all the contradictions out on the net. I have never been profitable in forex ever. In fact, I have blown several accounts.

It is truly a blessing to have come across this forum that you have started. You have given me hope. What I like about your style is that it is structured in such a way that I trust in it.

I have never come across Supply and Demand trading before so I am beyond new with the concept.

What I would like to see, however, and I'm sure you have already done a video on it, is to take me back to the beginning. How to draw the supply and demand zones. I don't even know what a curve is. To me, that would be a great starting point before I delf deeper into this forum and the subject of Supply and Demand.

I love every bit so far.

I think it's because of trend on the weekly
Taking embedded zones of course riskier then taking confirmation trades but in other hand price can fall without any evidence of turning and leave you without trade while you was waiting on confirmation

Question about confirmation and timeframes and jumping the gun vs discipline and adherence to the methodology. If using the Weekly as curve and Daily as intermediate and 4h to 1h as the logical proportional Execution chart, if there is no Supply zone visible on the 4h, 1h, or even 15min and I have to go down to the 5 min to see the most proximal supply zone, is this just too small a timeframe to use as confirmation evidence?

If I'm down in the 5 min chart and I am looking for a long term, Possibly daily or Weekly rally to ensue to farm for a few years possibly, is this just FOMO getting me and there's nothing to see?

What is some advice on seeing shadows around every corner, squinting too hard at the charts, jumping the gun, but also keeping my head up to capitalize early-ish on a reversal, etc?

I will admit I've been lurking in this thread for some time trying to absorb and learn as much as I can. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who makes this great community. Also big thank you to AKT and all the members who work together, help each other out in order to become better traders.

After reading through this thread and watching AKT's youtube videos I have attempted my first top-down analysis on the GBP/JPY pair using the 1M, 1W and 1D timeframes. I can't say I am very confident yet in my abilities but one must start somewhere.

Any critiques and constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. As I continue to learn and grow I hope to be able to comment and provide my feedback to others in the group but at the moment I don't feel like I understand the concept of supply and demand well enough.

Attached are images of 1M, 1W 1D and a combination of all three analyses.

I have put bubbles (1 ?, 2?) around areas I am not sure would be considered levels of supply and demand.



GBP/JPY 1M 1 ? -Would this area be considered a supply zone? The level is to the bottom and left of current price action but would have been tested by the current two candles to the left of the current price. AKT has mentioned differences between zones being violated and being taken out. I am having a hard time identifying times when a zone has been violated vs when it has been removed.

GBP/JPY 1W 1? - It is difficult to see in the screenshot but I have a question based on the wick that penetrates this demand zone. Again related to above would this just be a violation or would this remove the demand zone as it has been tested?

GBP/JPY 1W 2? - I drew a smaller demand zone just below the current price action. Would anyone consider this as a valid demand zone? Or would this be ignored due to the larger demand zone below? (assuming the larger demand zone below is a valid zone)

GBP/JPY 1D 1? - Similar to my question above. Would you guys consider this as a valid supply zone? I question this as the zone is very close to current price action and has several wicks running through it.

GBP/JPY 1D 2? - Would this be the correct supply zone as this area is where price began to sell off from?

You are most welcome.

If i may suggest, especially for anyone starting out and is within say the first 2-3 years of using any methodology that requires multiple timeframe analysis, try to stick with the three timeframes. Beyond that, confusion will most likely set in.

The idea is that one first chooses the type of trader he or she will be... this is best determined in my view by taking an inventory of one's life at present, especially the time available to be fully engaged with the market. If you as a trader have a busy job and are away from price action for several hours at a time, using a 15min chart is of no help. Even if you can look at charts on your phone or at work on those small intraday timeframes, you are present in body but not in mind with price action. You are distracted by other things.
Hence why i always advocate using the appropriate sequences for one's current station in life and when more experienced, one can vary that.

It feels like I'm back in primary school. I've watched many of AKT's videos on Storehouse Analytics and I have learnt a lot, but I'm very new to S.A.D.

Just to be certain that I start the drawing of the zones correctly, can someone please share with me how to properly draw the following conditions:
Drop, Base, Rally.
Rally, Base, Rally.
Rally, Base, Drop.
Drop, Base, Drop.

I don't know when to include the bodies and wicks in Supply and Demand Zones.

Apologies for this guys, but like I said, I am very new to this concept.
