This means nothing. Even I, who wrote the software, would have no clue what to use. And I don't want a setting where everyone is using a different value. If we were to do that then that would be the end of comparing results -- since everyone would be using different settings.

You have a specific idea in mind and you want me to tailor the software according to your idea. But the software is not just for you. I have no idea what "risk tolerance/appetite" means or what value I should use. You have all the pieces you need and @bishopdotun and I have been completely transparent -- feel free to incorporate some discretionary decision making in your trading. I'm not adding intervals or "min distance" to the indicator or EA. Please enough of this -- I think we've beaten it to death...

@R4M, I appreciate the goo work you have done together with Bishopdotun.

I think it prudent you add the stop trading feature which when set true, the EA will not open any other trade but only manage the already open ones. I would prefer it so the EA won't open trades on Friday evening/night.

@mbae -- You can set the MaxSpreadPoints to '0' and then the EA will no longer open any new trades.

@Blackeagle -- last week my account experienced some pain. Most of the losses were due to H1, which I have begun to move away from. I have confidence in the strategy because it is simple and it makes sense to me. And, there will be times when it doesn't perform well.

When the strategy doesn't perform well then I understand people then want to fiddle and look for "fixes". What I suggest is we continue sharing results -- in particular, screen shots of losing trades. If we share screen shots of losing trades and discuss what went wrong, then we might gain some additional insight that would allow me to modify the logic.

The strategy executes the rules correctly -- when it detects an extreme price then it trades away. But sometimes the market has other plans -- it shows us an extreme price (and we begin to trade away), but then it shows another extreme price in the same direction (rather than reverting). Some people think this can be addressed by introducing "distances" or intervals between Entries -- which I oppose. But there is another approach -- to allow an Exit signal if the Entry starts going in the wrong direction.
The system is good and works. The most important thing in it is the management of the capital that inevitably goes through assuming lost some too extreme days. But in the long term it is winning. Yes, if we start to put 1 lot and our account is 10k, we will be lost. Lever is the main thing

I know you mentioned about emergency exit before and I've seen it worked last week when my H1 trades were going in opposite direction. I don't know its logic but so far this week, emergency exit did not kick in on H4 trades while some trades are deep in drawdown like >200pips in red. Anyway there is nothing to do other than forward testing right now. It seems EA is working fine. I'll give a general feedback at weekend re. my experience this week.

The system has more wins than loses but the problem is R:R Ratio, when it loses, it loses extreme. If it can be added as a feature, its good but for now, I will use 0.4 tp and 0.4 sl. If I will have more wins, that becomes our edge

@mbae -- I suggest that you definitely NOT use 0.4 SL -- that will break the strategy. If trading H4 the SL should be 1.8. For H1 it can be a bit smaller (e.g. 1.2). If you think using a smaller SL will lead to better performance then you don't yet understand how the strategy works.

Well I am still using the DASHBOARD EA on my manual trades. I have extensively used the old BD dashboard ea until the BDX was created. Right now, I'm on the latest version, but since this is a manual strategy I'm missing something important not found on the bdx dashboard. That is the ORIGINAL RECIPE entry option. I like the original recipe entry very much because the dashboard ea scans the prices on extremes and you can see those immediately. The scan result is "raw", no ha/cc filters. After checking the charts, I can apply my discretion on whether to take the trade or not based on what price action I see. Maybe others can relate to this what I am saying.

If it's ok with you sir, can the original recipe entry be included? For dashboard ea ONLY, not for allpairs ea and single pair ea as they don't need it. Sorry to bother you, I know we are on the bug-fixing/testing stage and done with the core logic development, but this one is something I think is important.

Agreed the original recipe on the previous BD strat is quite nice as though lots of entries I find the the 1440 daily setting quite stringent with 40% ADR and like you say you can then make a choice on what signals to trade. I still use the BD for my manual trading but using the latest BDX for auto trading.

Hi Steve,

I have a question. About 15 minutes ego AllPairsEA sent a buy signal for EURAUD on H4 (just after the bar with red arrow closed). I am posting related screenshots and a copy of Expert Tab (first two rows). There is no signal on HA transitions indi and there is no arrow or dot on R4M-BDX-ADR indi, either. It was a big bearish bar, and I don't know why EA sent the buy signal. Would you please have a look if it could be a bug? Thanks.
