You don't have to tell them anything.... if you lose too much they say you are stupid . If you make too much , you arent paying enough family/friend taxes.....

1st RULE: You do not talk about FIGHT CLUB.

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

The only people who know I do this are my parents (they were fine once I explained about my risk management) & my partner (who thinks it's really cool and wants to tell everyone).

I don't tell friends anymore, it's a lot easier that way.

I have a small (very) part-time business which acts as a sort of cover (haha - people think I'm a lot busier with it than I am) and also is great for keeping me grounded, meeting people and takes the stress away from having to make money every month...

Personally, I think there are a lot of secret traders out there!

Don't even start with retail forex trading - this way you completly avoid this problem.

If the shit has already hit the fan.....which will be case in 99.9% of all cases:

Be honest, especially to the one you love..... admit that you are losing time and money and that you have a gambling addiction.

These are the most important peoples in your whole life.

They care - your broker doesn't!

Now choose your side wisely.

You don't need to say anything ......

You just need to demonstrate you can pay the bills for you family and friends.

The best thing is to not mention anything about it until you are a profitable trader. People around you will doubt you and that can affect you negatively. I do my best to keep it to myself for now, that way I don't have to deal with negativity, and I try my best to keep a positive mind at all times.

I think that it's hard enough for any trader to tell his relatives and unfamiliar people about what they do. This is due to the fact that most people treat this activity as a casino or some kind of game, few people understand until they start trading, that this is a real job that requires a lot of effort and time, plus you need to constantly monitor the market and there are often ambiguous situations that can lead to the loss of money. Yes, another thing that confuses many people is that investments are needed here. On the one hand it's logical - how you can start a business without investment, on the other hand - people are afraid that they can lose everything that they had.
