{quote} Yes it appears my back testing was better than my forward testing. Although I was averaging 900pips per week we are far behind seeing its Thursday. It does appear a nice trade comes up and does change direction. I wont give up I will keep testing and see where I end up.

as you can see you had 2 entry sell signal .

for signal 1 : you had two ways for open your trade, a) open two trade in half size b)open one trade full size
a) : if you opened 2 order you should close one of them when tp1 hit and other one make break even . in this case you could be in profit . also TIPS1 told us when candles goes out it will get back inside,so dont risk.

b) if you opened one trade, when 60% or at least tp1 hit,you should make your trade break even. in this case you would 0 loss.

for signal 2 : first of all you saw before candles was out and its trying to get back inside,so signal 2 was risky and also it was near trend bands. if you are a trader you should know 50% of moves of market is based on fundamental news,on that day when candles get back sharply inside bands, that was because of Britain Brexit news,so we know that market will move sharply because of news so why we risk out money of this kind of event?

the most important part of a trade is to manage that trade. we don't open a trade and forget it. i hope everyone understood how to manage their trade.

EDIT : i saw your GBPAUD had stop loss too, why?? it hit tp2 . i saw you had stop loss on USDCAD ,for what reason you hit stop loss on USDCAD ? for AUDNZD i dont leave any comment because i dont even look at that pair .

It is perfectly possible to run the system manually, with just C, D and E alone. This information might help anyone thinking of coding a semi or fully automatic EA and build items such as alerts around the core program.

Hi BTM,

My mt4 is working slow. Is it fine if I keep the max candles in history and charts to 5000? Will the indicators work fine with 5000?

yes it will work fine .because of calculation of the signal indicator, this system needs good performance PC.but you can use the dashboard to watch all pairs with lower cpu usage .

I had two signals, one in EURUSD (I have doubted a bit because it was very close to the trend line, but I took a risk) and another in GBPCAD (very clear to me)

IMHO there were two weak points on that:
1. this wasn't a safe setup: it doesn't respect the condition "candles pass base line".
2. the SL line was too close: it should be set at the next resistance up ( that orange line ). You don't put the SL to the same line which validated the arrow ( in your case the red line ). The general principle for shorting in this method is: if the arrow is validated ( meaning price crossed ) by central pivot, SL is first resistance, if arrow is validated by first resistance, SL is the second one, even if the second situation is weaker than the first one ( which is quite obvious in your picture considering the price action ).

For those computer or VPS not very powerful, you may try this indicator.
It scan 30 pairs during M15 candle close and push notification to your handphone.

Just load it into ONE chart enough.
Don't apply any chart with BTM templete to save some computer or VPS resources.
When receive push notification, open new chart and apply BTM templete to analyse whether is it good to trade.

Different broker will receive different signal.
To follow exactly with BTM, use hotforex.

{quote} thank you very much for explaining and sharing your study with us. trading based on candles goes outside of trend indicator has its own rules,i mean you can not trade when you see candles are out,its the nature of trend indicator to collect candles inside it,like Bollinger band, when trend continues bullish or bearish trend with much power, day after days without any correction, trend indicator bands will get wider to collect all candles inside itself and you see there was no candle outside,so if you see candles go out it doesnt necessarily...

Anything above the line is an uptrend, below the line is a downtrend.

Hi BTM,

Just out of curiosity ...
Is there any price-action element from the picture below used in your method for trading the counter-trend move from outside the bands ?
