At some point the usd will catch up. People selling their equities and buying u.s. treasuries have weighed on the usd (bonds). At some point that will likely quickly reverse. XE rates on weekends are not accurate. Last week it showed a gap and by the time it opened there was no gap.

Now that the trump tweets have stopped, here's an opinion:

This trade war will not de-escalate any time soon. It seems China wants to hurt trump's ego. Yield curve will continue to invert. Safe havens will continue to be bought up. Fed will start to reduce interest rates. For now, it should still be dollar bearish. I'd say this fear should be good for another week or 2 at least. But at some point the dollar should rise as more flight to safety happens.

EU
1h is now uptrend
4h is now uptrend
Only 1d remains downtrend. But that could be changing in a few weeks.

My bias for EU is to go long. What I really wish to see on monday is for EU to drop down 1113-1120 area. I think this is a critical area. For bulls to see higher, this area must be defended. Will start to build longs if it ever gets there.

The numbers are accurate 1 hour before market opens...and 1 hour after market closes, all in between is just random. We will see on sunday what will materialize from that tweet.

Everything's lined up: huge volume on the daily candle. Huge volume on the 4hr spike bar. In fact, the 15minute candle which N.Y. opened with had the highest volume as at that time, but the clue was that it closed at the top. That told me instantly that shorts were off. Everything points to a short squeeze (higher prices). I'll sell later but for now let's buy some. I hope to God that Asia retraces to the 111x area. My simple plan:

Borrow this chart since its similar to my trading plan next week... first 1170 or 1180 to see H4 can hold.... if not, day downtrend 1230 hold or not.....

Seems like the gap up on xe is real showing 1.1236 . yesterday it was showing 1.1226 and then morning it came down to 1.1155 now again back to 1.1236..all shorts will screwed by this big gap up..

As explained earlier in this thread, the price is more or less irrelevant until 1-2h before market opens. A few weeks ago the EU gap on XE was 150 pips until 1h before market opened and there was no gap at the opening.

even 1 or 2 hours before market opens it often shrinks to a minimal amounts. Often just a few pips or 0. Its done it in the past.
