Hi, just as a reminder;
" I want to create an alert indicator on a multi time frame where real time price (n=modifiable number of pips in indicator) in number of pips above the upper band or below the lower Bollinger band. Can you be of help in coding this indicator? Thanks. Nifedo."
Example, alert happens if price goes 10 pips above upper band and/or 10 pips below lower band respectively. Price should be in the real time and not closing. Number of pips could be modifiable by the user.

Hi i cannot find much discussion on inserting a picture into MT4.
Can anyone assist?

I want to:

  1. insert a happy face on the bottom left corner of the chart (offset x - 150; offset y - 100) & have the word "LONG" under the current bar, IF the price close above the previous day high
  2. insert a sad face on the bottom left corner of the chart (offset x - 150; offset y - 100) & have the word "SHORT" under the current bar, IF the price close below the previous day low
  3. the picture are in attached. The size should look just a thumbsize on the screen.

If current close is greater than previous days high - "Lime"
If current close is less than previous days low - "Red"
If current close is between previous days low and high - "Grey"

Does it have to be those exact pictures? Why not create a label in the corner, and use an existing font, "Wingdings", where the letters 'J K L' appear as faces. Make the size and color whatever you want. Add a 2nd normal text, beneath the current bar, and use a regular font that says "LONG" or "SHORT" or whatever you want.

From a Google search, here's a random URL to a Font Icon Cheat Sheet that tells you what keyboard characters appear as what icon, when using one of the 4 obvious fonts available.

I'm not interested to code it, but if you like the idea, this is one way you or someone could do it.

Hi,
I'm looking for a simple Stochastic alert.
I searched on FF and the net: the ones I found are no use to me.
I need one that gives one signal each time Stochastic-line and Signal-line cross each other.
(Not: threshold, like 80/20- etc.)
And it must give a signal ONLY ONCE when they cross (closed candles).
Next signal comes when they cross again...

Dear Phylo and great coders,

It would be possible to modify this EA so that you manage open trades from a variety of sources, with a single instance of the EA running. It should recognize all trades that it is managing on the platform, regardless of its origin and manage hedging operations according to the parameters established in the EA. I hope my request is well understood.

I tried it in some other forum and I have not received an answer, so I don't know if my request is possible. It is an EA that I use many years ago and for me this new function is very important. I would be very grateful.

Hi all.

I have an indicator that repaints a bit, but it is useful on a longer time frame chart like 1 hour and 4 hour, then I can drop down to lower time frames for confirmation.

I would like to find something that can refresh the indicator and make it "repaint".. so it always displays as if it is freshly loaded.

I have tried auto refresh data/chart indicators and they do not work, they do not reload indicators.

What I need is something, maybe a script or something, that can switch the time frame from next one down and back again (this would reload the indicator)

or something that can completely reload the indicator from scratch..

Is there any such thing anyone knows of?

I read about a script that you can set up a hotkey for that can reload a chart but I couldn't find it with search.

Any help would get you some love.

Please prepare the indicator + expert for the below mention conditions
Trading strategy required the below mention conditions.
Prepare the Indicator + experts for MT4 & MT5 for the below mention conditions.
1. 50 Simple moving average closed (colored moving average)
2. 50 % body candle in difference color
3. Donchian channels - 20 period
4. Fractals
Condition
1. After color change in 50 SMA , identify the the first 50% body candle.
2. Position for buy - if 50 SMA color in green, take the position of above 50% body candle. - Uptrend
3. Stop loss - Below 50 % Body candle or nearest fractals (which is maximum pips)
4. Position for sell - if 50 SMA color in red, take the position of below 50% body candle. - Down trend
5. Stop loss - Above 50 % Body candle or nearest fractals (which is maximum pips)
6. Trailing stop loss
6.1 TL1 – 1:1 of 50% body candle
6.2 TL2 – 1:2 of 50% body candle
6.3 TL3 – 1:2 of next time frame 50% body candle.
6.4 LT4 – 1:2 of next, next time frame 50% body candle.
