DislikedThanks for your message robots4me. I'm testing the BDX strategy manually effectively, but as others, i like to understand what I am testing. I know perfectly how heiken ashi is working. Heiken ashi is Heiken ashi. No variable used. Formulas to calculate open, low, high close of HA candle are all other the place. There should be no difference between heiken ashi indicators, if both are standard indicators. So, if i see a difference between your indicator and standard heiken ashi, then I ask a question in order to send my feedback. If I see your indicator...Ignored
DislikedGood morning to everybody. Testing the system with a new approach. I put the robot to work on renko graphics. TMA works like a magnet. Thanks robots4me Greetings from Ecuador {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Renko only works on offline charts. Live, but displayed on offlineIgnored
Disliked{quote} @Vicente -- interesting -- I tip my hat to you...There was a time I traded Renko bars, but I found the offline charts too CPU-intensive. But I like seeing that you applied BDX to an offline chart that is time-independent. Very nice.

Disliked{quote} Thank you for your work. Open 2 MT4 in the same account. 10 robots in each MT4. On my computer they work well. I still can't figure out how Heiken candles work in Renko, but the important thing is the results. Thanks once againIgnored

Disliked{quote} @KillerJoe -- it's a "standard" Heiken Ashi -- whatever that means. Tell me -- where did you get your "standard" Heiken Ashi. Why is yours "standard" and the one I'm using not "standard". Perhaps mine is the "standard" one and yours is not. And besides -- why would I modify it? And even if I were to modify it, why would I lie that I hadn't modified it? @KillerJoe -- put on your "critical thinking hat". We've given you a beautiful BDX indicator. Attach it to a chart. Look at where it marks Entries. Try trading with it in a Demo account. Why...Ignored
Heikin-Ashi (平均足, Japanese for 'average bar') candlesticks are a weighted version of candlesticks calculated with the following formula:
This is Wikipedia and commonly accepted as standard definition of HA. Can not imagine for a second that a smart guy as you are does not know it.
3) All standard HA indicator of all MT4 platform are based on these calculations. Your indicator obviously is not. It includes some kind of modification or shifting. Again, no standard HA can result in a bearish HA candle as shown in my post 5926. Seems some shifting is used. Dare to explain that ?
4) I fully understand if you do not want to disclose the exact algorithm of your indicator, but don't say it is based on the standard indicator.
It would have been sufficient to just state that you are not willing to fully explain the strategy instead of bashing people when they track some discrepancies/incoherences in your explanations. Finally, would like to apologise to all thread readers. This post does not bring much but I don't like to be treated like an idiot. Would like to apologise as well with the thread starter. Obviously, you are not willing to be fully transparent as I thought you would. No need to respond to this post. I understand you are a busy man. Just let me give you an advice: humility will make your life brighter than arrogance. Take care.
Disliked{quote} Thanks to your response. Don't want to hijack the thread, but i think i have to respond to that. Obviously, you are a smart guy and you brought a lot to the FF comunity. But that does not give you the right to be arrogant, to bash people or to treat them as idiot. Hopefully this is my last msg in that thread, but here we go: 1) As I already told you, I am currently trying manually that strategy in a demo account. I am doing that with one purpose: to check if the strategy is goog enough to go live with it in the future. Whenever, I put my...Ignored

Disliked{quote} @KillerJoe -- you've totally missed the point. The HA indicator makes little difference. In the previous version we experimented with: 1. Original Recipe -- simple closing above / below the ADR band followed by opening above / below 2. Consecutive Candles indicator 3. Level-2 Fractal indicator They all work. I've written many times the magic sauce is the ADR offset from the midline. Here is a link to the source code for the Heiken Ashi indicator I'm using. If you prefer to validate the code of this indicator instead of trading then go for...Ignored
Disliked{quote} @benjun9 -- thanks for posting your results above and also sharing your experience with M15. This helps me as well. Regarding time frames... Look it, if it works then that is all that matters and feel free to ignore my recommendations. Lately I've spent minimal time testing since once I finish coding then I put it out there for people to experiment with. The reason I've been recommending H4 is because that is probably the lowest time frame that works well with 100% ADR. To me it makes sense to define an extreme price as 100% ADR, since ADR...Ignored
Dislikedrobots4me a humble request for the next version, for those of us who like to experiment with% ADR {image}Ignored
Disliked@R4M I just had a trade close on GJ. I had Auto Exits on the dashboard - Enabled. My understanding was that it would close the trade via midline or smoothed Heiken Ashi but it appears the ADR% TP/SL has priority. Am I misunderstanding the exit or should the Auto Exit take priority if enabled? EDIT: Or do I need to set TP to zero and then this will allow Auto Exits to operate.Ignored
