Provides two flavours of Renko; a no gap variant which is what I use most of the time (especially on the DAX), and "rail to rail" which is the same as the median Renko indicator I paid for from AZ-Invest some time ago which provides some additional Renko options - I didn't think 65 USD was much to pay given how much I've made using it. If you go to MT7's thread you will see I had a couple of problems with the EA, but it turns out it was just my set up because they have gone away! The EA has been working well since I started using it some months ago apart from a slight, unexplained glitch recently which has fixed itself.

Hi there,

I liked your indi, not initially, It mimics the median renko bars but not up to that mark though. Also, Would you like to share your strategy for DAX with the renko. I am right now exploring the possibility of trading the instrument in near future. Thanks in advance.

Hi Civilpes2001!

I started to trade the DAX (GER30) because of the lack of volatility in the forex markets I have traditionally traded during the UK trading hours, particularly the EU and GU with the ongoing mess of brexit. One thing that the GER30 brings is volatility - certainly during the hours I trade. I trade the market price movement, I tend not to use any indicators/EA's other than the Renko generators that are necessary in MT4 (unlike other platforms), just look at what the market is doing. I don't pretend to have all the answers or some sort of "guru" - I just trade what I see.

For example I was on this yesterday:

This was a nice "head and shoulders" on a shorting market, if it had gone a bit higher and formed a double top I would have taken it also. The entry point was on completion of the reversal brick. I guess I'm just looking for significant pullbacks on a trend - if that's a strategy! This is MT7's EA, the bricks are set to 50 points (5 pips) so the larger (reversal) bricks are 100 points. I normally run a 10-15 pip SL. I took 30 pips on this, but left a lot behind - story of my life

Most people on FF like arrows. The smaller the bricks, the more arrows in the chart. A lot of arrows with quite bad signals. Arrows are not traded, only the market. Simple analysis eliminates bad signals. If the price responds to your tools, you know you have a trend. You can use the tools you like. There are many roads that lead to the goal.

Just with heiken Ashi it works pretty well if just targetting 20 pips each time, I not found a need for renko.
I been using on M15.

Needs a dashboard though to get alerts of lots of pairs.
EX BBMA trader focusing on REE code.

You are right.
Renko offers simplicity but you miss out on the informative power heiken ashi candles have to offer. A break of support or resistance using heiken ashi is far superior to that of renko as well as traditional Japanese candles.
