The tweets don't always move the market, but the policies sure do.

Sold S&P last Friday, so I'm green, but I hate this whipsaw volatility (I know some like it)

I've never been able to figure that out.

I get the MP is monthly pivot
WP is weekly pivot.
FP is ifbonacci pivot.
RU is ??

imho, Trump tweets for show not for real action and for confusing people, think about all his tweets about the strong dollar - that the dollar is about to colapse and he hates a strong dollar... do we really think he cannot influence the FED ? or others. Look to tweets about China Trade Deal - about XI, announcing the new China tarriffs right after the FED cut.

he is tweeting on this subjects 2-3 years now.

it's show, election and influencing price to a different PA than what He is saying.

My theory is that he know nothing about economics and the intricacies of how it works.
He's just spouting whatever comes to his head.
So whenever he says highly technical things, just ignore it.

But when it comes to things like trade policies, his opinion matters. Because he has the power to set fiscal policy. So if he talks about china, the market listens. When he talks about the fed, the market ignores.

Trump has never once made an economic decision that is in benefit of the economy. He's definitely an amateur who thinks he knows it all.
