Just got COT report for the week ended on July 23:

Institutions increased their net short positions after they evaluated the better chance of 25 instead of 50 bps rate cut on July 31.

The closing price on that day was 1.1151

2,996 long contracts were added, and 10,649 short contracts were added as well. Now Longs total 173,483 contracts vs shorts total 212,487 contracts

45% long exposure vs 55% short exposure, which 1% decreased in longs and 1% increased in shorts from the previous week

a day close above 108.83 changes the uj outlook. I hope to get 108.0/09 out of a drop or more. my first hurdle is 108.58 support. month, week are bearish. Day remains bearish below 108.83 close. 1h support being tested now at 108.59. 4h at 107.85.. a 1h support break should yield a near test of the 4h.. 107.85/108.09. This short is based on day Resistance at 108.83 holding the large bearish trend. The trend can yield much more than 108.09.. but the swap sucks..
