Moved SL's right up to TP if rebounds.

Nice pips.

On H4, price is at EMA20 at ~56.44, so could go either way, IMO.

I am more of a dynamic trader (looking at my system for confirmation to either exit the trade or raise TP or SL).

Mostly i move my SL to the next supply zone or into profit to protect my gains. Been there more than once when WTI made those nasty 40 pip u-turns

Not sure how to deal with this area...

Any ideas?

This is a little late to help, but I see price crossed your center line, which I treat as a signal for some further advance. If taking it, follow with close stops.

Hi Timing. Went short - see above. Just worried that at any moment Uk and Iran swop out their tankers and price drops. Or not and it goes up with more threats? Tenuous.

On H4, WTI hanging around EMA20 for past 8 hours at ~56.5. Could break either way now.

TC, I'm following a generated signal, this happend yesterday and I didn't trade, missed out on about 90+pips, so taking all now, D

This is Mladen's and I think Mr Tools, work:




Leave the settings as they are but adjust TFs. Mostly M30 to D1. I think trading is really the art of patience.
We just get lucky when it happens quickly.

I trade it like this, (adjust the colours to represent mine):

Sell a red cross if it is above the channel line. Then add a take profit close to the bottom of the channel line. You can see from my posts.
Do this every time that it presents itself. So that you may end up with a few Sell orders, with TPs in place; all the same place.

As the trade matures and the bottom channel line moves, then move your TPs accordingly. In other words you must monitor your trades. I seldom use SL's. I use SL's mostly when trading lower TFs.

If your TP turns to a loss you can accept that as you will have had better and better entries, or take a new stance and go up a TF and adjust your TP's accordingly.

It is a damn good strategy but patience is required. Sometimes fulfillment can take a week plus.

That's why for this method I say that trading is just about patience.

PS. Like in my last trade above, very often a SL means SP (Stop profit). That's why I so seldom use them. Oil is very different in that it can go like a rocket and it expires, meaning you can't run losses for as long as you might wish to. Which means; have lots of margin to use this strategy without SLs. Hope that makes sense
And try it on something other than oil first.
