Hi Kimosabyy,

If I may, the level is a daily supply zone as it's a rally base drop. The candle noted is the base.

Take note that this daily supply zone is within a higher time frame weekly supply zone.

I want to know what is the exact WIN % percentage of SUPPLY AND DEMAND Using all the RULES OBJECTIVELY AND CORRECTLY ... all i ask if for you to tell me the estimate or the exact Win percentage of it !

Before you get your answer I'll add some thoughts. I've been trading for 23 years and I can tell you firstly the win rate of a system or methodology isn't always dependent on the system or methodology. The trader can really skew these percentages while the system or methodology itself is perfectly fine.

Whatever percentage anyone tells you simply won't be an accurate representation of the system or methodology.

One might say well what if the system or methodology was automated with exact rules etc, what would the win rate be? Again this doesn't work because many veteran traders who have earned consistency in their trading have experience which an automated system does not have. What I'm getting at is the trader can make a system that has a terrible automated win rate and make it work perfectly fine.

Lastly your question is a psychological one not a system based one. When most traders ask questions like these what they are really asking is can I make money easily with this system without doing anything. (Of cause please don't misunderstand me I'm only speaking from experience)

Having said all this I can personally tell you using only S and D intraday (meaning I'm only looking for 30-40 pips in any given day) hover around 80% win rate.

I'll also add though that I don't like holding on to trades so if a trade doesn't work quickly I'm out and moving on. This in itself keeps the win rate higher than it might be if I just left my stops to get hit. You see there are so many variables that can affect the win/loss ratio of a system or methodology

Wow.. you took the words right out of my mouth. Thank you for what i think is a well thought out commentary based on real life trading. I completely agree.

It is indeed a serious question. One i thank you for asking. If you go through the thread, you will see i have written about this before in previous articles.

I personally will never quote a "winning percentage" for anyone because i know better than to do that.
It is a figure that many people seek which immediately creates an expectation in them as to what they can make.
I ask myself "why doesn't anyone ever ask, "how much work will it take for me to be a profitable trader?"; how much effort, how much learning will i have to put in to be profitable?"
I think people don't ask that because of the very human characteristic of looking for the path of least resistance.

It is never about a methodology but rather, always about the trader applying the methodology.

That is why there are people making money trading moving average crossovers, trading with fibonacci, classical chart patterns, wyckoff, etc. NO system is better than another in my view.

Rather, it is always about how much the PERSON applying the system has learnt, knows and applies about the system.

For me, i have made it my business to know the strengths and weaknesses of my approach to the markets. I work to press my advantage when i see it. I identify the weaknesses in my approach and work to minimize their impact on my trading. Nothing fancy, just that.

If i said to you that i have a win percentage of 50% for example. Would you think, well, that's no better than a coin toss. That would be an accurate assumption. What you don't ask though and is more important, is how much i win when i win those 50% of cases.
We all come into trading to make money. A winning percentage has very little to do with that. I have found in my own experience that a win percentage only looks good on the outside, a figure people use to beat their chests. I have very little interest in that.

If my win percentage is 40% and i win 3 or 4: 1 each of those times, i would be doing better than a trader who wins 60 or 70% of the time but takes 0.5 or 1:1.
Win percentage and risk to reward ratios are often inversely related and the work for each trader is to learn, apply, adjust and go again with new information, to try to balance those two equations. No roundtable member will tell you their win percentage first because it is an open forum and that is a private matter but more importantly, they know it is the least important determinant of whether they make money or not..

We are quite process based in our trading and have less focus on outcomes. The process is what we can control. Outcomes we can't. We therefore work everyday to improve, learn and apply our processes. We pay less attention to outcomes which we have no control over.

Thank you guys for your answer. The reason why I ask is to determine objectively what RR I want to set for myself using the exact WIN RATE OF THIS System (but now i understand it varies on the trader and not the system). My focus was never about the money ... In my philosophy, it is all about RR ( Minimum 1:3), percentages (how much will i Risk on every trade) and how many trades I am allowed to take in a week according to my wins / loses. Thank you again .
