Trading the Cable swings via averages

The week ahead.

If we look at the long term of the monthly we can see that a 1808 is in the wind.

If we look at the weekly we see the target was hit on the nose but it was a hit in divergence. This means we gat get a weekly pull back to the long side.

This makes it a tad difficult to form such a long term view.

Looking at my 1 minute chart I can see we are between the averages of the 15 minute chart and the 30 minute chart so these are the two charts to watch for signals in the immediate.

I went long but my order is not filled. How come?

Further, in the price window, we connect the Close of a bar to the Close of another bar. That's because RSI is calculated with the use of Close prices.
Also, you have not set your RSI's conform Alan's setup .......but maybe you did that on purpose to follow your own method.
One more note, the pivots you used to draw your lines are not selected correctly.

I was wondering why you would not have taken the hedge from the div where I have marked with orange. Chart is from your post 1103. Thank you in advance!

Edit: Never mind! I see someone asked the same question a couple of posts down from this one! In that you said it was a valid trade.

I have drawn red trend lines on the RSI and Price.
On the price, the C point is attacking the A point.
On the RSI the red line is drawn across the 14 period RSI from bottom to top. It must not cut into any peaks as you have done. We are not looking at the 5 RSI in this instance.

Looking at that rejection, if it would have made a pip or two extra to the upside, that would have been a clean HD. Easy to spot it's going to develop that way.

If anyone is interested, here is a trade lot calculator for Alan's system. It is set for USD values. Just put in your acct balance, desired % gain/day, # pips you desire to achieve it in, and it will show you what your lot sizes should be for each trade.

Except that is not the way I trade.
Could anyone be so kind as to explain what for a tool you use to draw AB - CD lines? Or are you doing it manually line by line??

thanks for your input. i understand about not crossing the rsi. i don't know what else to do to the rsi or see what's correct/incorrect pivots. maybe you can assist me in getting it together? thanks again.

I am sorry I can not assist coming days. I am on phone instead of PC. also not trading.
The pdf should be clear though on these things. It is discussed several times how to select the right pivots for an abcd

For setting up both rsi's just go to the thread beginning

Your RSI5 is applied to price but it should be applied to the rsi14.
