Disliked{quote} @pipcruiser -- while walking my dog I was thinking about this problem and then, all of a sudden, she started barking at me with a better solution. You don't need additional VPS machines -- you simply need to run multiple instances of MT4. If you wish to monitor 10 pairs then I would launch 2 instances of MT4 with 5 charts each. Two instances with 5 charts each doesn't require that much more screen real estate than one instance with 10 charts.Ignored

Disliked{quote} {quote} @Pip-Miner -- because many brokers don't support MT5. As a US client I have an account with OANDA -- probably the most well known US broker. They don't support MT5. I asked if they had any plans to support MT5 and their answer was -- "no". One of the biggest mistakes MetaQuotes made was not making MT5 backward compatible. As a result, every indicator and DLL written for MT4 would need to be rewritten in order to run on MT5. Is it do-able? Of course. But I'm not going to spend 6 months rewriting all the pieces so @pipcruiser can open...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Interesting I thought MT5 was brought out because of the US hedging Laws (so it was aimed at the US market), because it was not until a few years later that they released MT5 Hedge, which obviously allows hedging. There are things I like with MT5 and being able to un-dock a chart and place it on another monitor is one of them.Ignored
Disliked{quote} i do like my hedging account and the way i trade only need a few indies i see no difference between mt4 and mt5 in operationIgnored
DislikedSo, I'm looking for the failure points. Where does this not work and why. We can't always be right, but that's what I'm good at analyzing. SO anyway, My thought was, to focus on any area where candles peaked outside on the daily more than 3 times or where the trend causes the indicator to look narrow, rapid and successive (EUR/USD jun-AUG 2017). Those are 'potential' increased risk areas level 1. Then any areas where there are 3 or more candles outside the bands I am looking at as a potential level 2. I am looking for a level 3 or anything to add...Ignored
Disliked{quote} @JaxPacific -- I think your idea of looking for failure points is good. Also it brings up another issue for discussion. Let me start it off because, surprise, I have an opinion. I'm exaggerating, but I think one has to tread carefully and not get too focused on the failures. The reason is because I see forex as a game of probability. I prefer to analyze a strategy once the sample size is large enough and you can get some meaningful statistics. Losses are too be expected -- what is more important is how the strategy performs in the...Ignored
Disliked{quote} In blackjack card counters bet low size when the count is low waiting for the cards to heat up to high count when they up their betsize. Likewise, when the signal is less efficient we ignore or trade with lower lotsize. Unlike blackjack, we don't have to manually do the count in our head. And since we have access to 28pairs 24/5 instead of this current deck that we track the count we have this luxury to do business when the edge is clearly with us. That's the huge advantage of forex over bj besides having to stay under the casino surveillance...Ignored
DislikedNice example of how to show a live trade.... Keep doing this everyday man and the naysayers will disappear.... I guarantee it!... . VEEFX https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=12358395#post12358395 That's what I asked for months earlier. First the podcast and now few after the fact trades posted by those who wants to raise their forum profile. Slow, slow, slow...... I wait patiently for 10trade entries and exits, if it ever happens. QuoteDislikedbut as the problem is the VPS machine itself (or at least I think) having limited resources, chopping it up in different MT4 installs (sucking up the same RAM etc) - would probably give same results.

I'm still waiting for confirmation on the $12-to-$1000000-in-48-weeks trading plan generated by the $$$ machine and the list of charities but, so far, radio silence on that.
