The indicator, as you pan out lets you see trends and ranges, because I'm not sure what indicators you use in decisions, this could be useful to see how the market is moving and a possible direction, I use a slow MA and a fast MA, the crossing have traits they sometimes follow, notice the crossings and where the boundaries are, what the price does at the boundaries, hope it's of some use, D

Thanks for posting that mate I'll give it a look this evening when home.
Currently I am using a macd platinum and qmp filter to show trend and short or long signals, works well but best to go with trend etc

I am still a newbie only 7 or 8 months in but pushing to learn as much as I can when not working or looking after the kids!

WTI has been range bound for 2 days as shown, based on the median line. The range is only 63 pips with the median, rather tight unless one is a very good scalper.

More cautious traders might wait for a breakout through the range boundaries. The location on the Keltner Channel Gradient suggests a break down is a bit more likely than a break up, but the long bull run from the last arrow shows a lot of upward momentum.

Just before close I was going to post divergence on the indicators for a sell, but was sidetracked, so pleased I didn't just how wrong would I have been, my own valuable lesson learned here, not all we see is true, D

That was what I was looking at last night thinking it was a good short but I'm not used to trading the DOW
