@Robot Trader -- okay.

Yes -- SL can be adjusted using ATR, and ADR is a special case. So, you suggest using ATR -- what am I supposed to do? Unless you can be more specific in terms how you want to calculate ATR and what percentage to use, then I'm at a loss. I'm a rookie -- I don't have all this stuff already worked out.

Meaning of Parameter inputs shown in screenshot

TakeProfit = 2 (this means the TP is 200% of the average (ATR) of the last 5 closed Candles, because the look back period is set to 5)
TakeProfitATR = 5 (The Look back period)

StopLoss = 1 (this means the SL is 100% of the average (ATR) of the last 3 closed Candles, because the look back period is set to 3)
StoplossATR = 3 (The Look back period)

TrailingStopAct = 0.2 (this means the trade must move into profit by 20% of the average (ATR) of the last 3 closed Candles, because the look back period is set to 3)
TrailingStopDist = 1 (this means the TSL is 100% of the average (ATR) of the last 3 closed Candles, because the look back period is set to 3)
TrailingStopATR = 3 (The Look back period)

You really crack me up.

Actually I trade alongside Nikl on a few nights a week in my thread (elsewhere) along with three other traders from George's old thread.
We trade George's methods in our own ways for many pips a night.
He is a indeed a real person and a great trader.
We may be the only live group actually trading his methods.

@Robot Trader -- interesting, but too many settings. Have you verified these settings are independent of pairs and time frames?

I really don't want to get into hard-coded numbers because it then requires the EA to be optimized / calibrated for different conditions. Check out my R4M-AverageBarSize indicator. The average bar size across 28 pairs can differ by as much as a factor of 3. I would find it hard to believe that one set of numbers fits all. I mean, I could be wrong but I would like to see evidence -- the "trust me" argument doesn't fly.

The parameters can be whatever manual value is inputted, there is nothing cast in stone the idea is you get flexibility for each TF and currency pair.

If you want to play it safe set the TP to 100% or less, is you want to catch quick moves increase the TP percentage, but the idea is that the TP/SL are Dynamic because they are following the general movement in the market based on the most recent Candle sizes.

@RickM -- okay, I believe you. My apologies to Nikl.

The problem is there are pseudobots being used. We both know how Andy and Kevin operate -- you've been around here much longer than me.

I thought @TimeTells made a nice gesture and I agreed -- and I paid the price. One hour later the predators were at it again. They created a new thread devoted solely to mocking me and this thread. So -- I assume the worst from them. Bad actors never change -- it's in their DNA. Over the past month I've grown accustom to it and now the drama suits me. Anyways, I'm a trashy, ignorant, lazy, prostituting old fool with shit for brains -- why do they care what I say.

That is what the EA is for, we do not paper trade best value settings, pairs move differently, but because we use the most recent average price this will always be dynamic and forever changing and the TP and SL will change with it, thus no curve fitting because every new trade will have a different TP/SL than the last one, whether it be this year/10 years ago or 10 years from now. There will always be a different average to the last number of closed Candles it is never set in stone and the TSL works really well at reducing losses.

So with this being a reversal strategy, I would say (but cannot prove it) PA will move quickly which means the average prior to the move should be at least equal or less than the current reversal move meaning the TP should get hit because of larger moving candles with greater pips values per candle than that of the ATR
