Disliked{quote} What is the strategy ??? Can you list the rules in order, time frame used in, indicators used, etc ??? 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) etcIgnored
DislikedThere have been two setups on Cycle_V4 that have been quite consistent over the last few weeks, and have hit targets again Friday: H4 Cycle_V4: Cycle(3,0)+RSI(1440,4,21,79) {image} H1 Cycle_V4: Cycle(2,1)+200ema Direction selections {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} To me I think it must be a timing thing, those logs show the TS did not trigger a trade for some reason. Don't forget the balls repaint, so could have painted the balls after the event maybe!Ignored
Disliked{quote} Apologies if I'm not being too creative here; have now matched the two setups with the above and continue running daily setups of Cycle Trader H4 1/2/3/0 + RSI and now H1 2/1 + 200MA in order to pin point best EL/SL scenarios hopefully. Some red sea today; wondering if there ever can be an early warning signal/pattern developing for those days so that either close the setup early or near enough break even position. Time will tell. Cheers {image} {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} I guess this is the timeout discussed in our post currently preventing 4 out 5 trades to kick off; this applies to two parallel setups both on ICM. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} FYI after some frustration closed all charts and shutdown MT4 restarted and loaded S9 Cycle Trader setup from scratch and trades have now kicked off. Whilst this is manageable in Demo wouldn't be as much fun in Live trading with full reliance on automation. Axitrader played a similar game of locking out the account previously in mid S9 operation with the excuse that password had changed. CheersIgnored
Disliked{quote} I run 5 MT4 terminals on a vps and always minimise every chart and every terminal when I finished with it and have found no issues with speed or lag. Occasionally when I run high CPU intensive bots at 5 or 15, 60 minute intervals I will get some lock-up but that is to be expectedIgnored
Disliked{quote} Hi Pip Poppy, What are you running on your VPS? Who are you using? ..... just curious. I'm running the following: CPU Cores:4 RAM (MB):4096 DISK (GB):65 OS:Traders VPS Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition R2 Datacenter:NYC I was having similar lock-ups like you and baskets wern't getting closed etc so skewed a lot of my tests. That and the SL setting (which is now fixed) hasn't made them worth posting etc. Like you I have found that minimising the terminals made a big difference however I did not try minimising the charts so I will get that a...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hopefully the Live account servers are more reliable! You could try OANDA, so far I have not noticed any -1 crap errors nor link failures on my demo accounts with them, they do have higher spreads though.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Cutting down on the number of charts should definitely reduce the MT4 load and reduce sluggishness, however, if the Dashboard gets stuck trying to process one trade, due to Broker confirmation say, it will become non-responsive still. I have also started cutting down charts on a number of my test, eg JPY pairs, GBP pairs, AUS pairs, Core5 etc... The GBP and JPY groups have been quite effective, GBP does sometimes get big DDs though. PS: Some TS's are heavier than others, like Basket_Trader_V9_TS can be quite a load ......Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Justuncle, Yeah I have been a little busy so will make some changes this week and see how things go. Strange thing is that even though the DB isnt updating as it should the load on the processor and memory usage isn't that high at all and we well under half. If I minimise the Terminal and then maximise it again it seems to update the DD correctly. This is where it can miss basket closures etc. I will definitely try some more setups as I haven't been closing he charts, just minimising the terminals. Will look through my VPS too and trim...Ignored
DislikedSome more results today, these demonstrate why I prefer to use Basket EL over a fixed TP. H4 CycleV4: Cycle(3,0)+RSI(1440,4)+Addons(9,0.5) - continued from red Monday, EL just 120/60 but manage to climb to 422, that's 800+pips, great result. {image} H1 CycleV4: GBP pairs, Cycle(2,1)+Addons(9,0.7) - two nice EL hits (EL 75/40) , one was quite large {image} H1 CycleV4: AUD pairs, Cycle(2,1)+Addons(9,0.7) - more conservative EL 40/25 as AUD pairs have low ATR rates, one hit. {image}Ignored
