You cannot apply any strategy to the DashBaord, only the S9..TS indicators work with the S9_ToolBox.

BUY Rule and Sell Rule

1. 15 Min chart I only used Blue ball for confirmation. from #4X 2010 SEMA4X Indicator.
And I Ignore the other Balls that appear
The main focus is the BLUE BALL.

2. Then I wait for the Arrow from Averages MACD Sine weighted MA to Enter a trade.
The Setting that I used are 1,18,3

3. Eg EURUSD for Buy trade

I hope you understand my concept

I guess this is the timeout discussed in our post currently preventing 4 out 5 trades to kick off; this applies to two parallel setups both on ICM.

That is fine with me, saves me reporting those two setups, here are some others:

H1 Basket_Trader_V9: HASex(1,200)+SWGex(3,1,48) still hanging on from Friday, but will close before restart today with a smallish lose.

Hopefully the Live account servers are more reliable! You could try OANDA, so far I have not noticed any -1 crap errors nor link failures on my demo accounts with them, they do have higher spreads though.

What are you running on your VPS? Who are you using? ..... just curious. I'm running the following:

CPU Cores:4
RAM (MB):4096
DISK (GB):65
OS:Traders VPS Windows 2008 Enterprise Edition R2
Datacenter:NYC

I was having similar lock-ups like you and baskets wern't getting closed etc so skewed a lot of my tests. That and the SL setting (which is now fixed) hasn't made them worth posting etc. Like you I have found that minimising the terminals made a big difference however I did not try minimising the charts so I will get that a go for sure.

Incidentally I have another EA running on a few terminals both live and demo and using the Dashboard just for DD etc tracking purposes and have had no issue so the TS's definitely seem to cause the lag so your suggestion of minimising the charts sounds like a great plan.

Cutting down on the number of charts should definitely reduce the MT4 load and reduce sluggishness, however, if the Dashboard gets stuck trying to process one trade, due to Broker confirmation say, it will become non-responsive still. I have also started cutting down charts on a number of my test, eg JPY pairs, GBP pairs, AUS pairs, Core5 etc... The GBP and JPY groups have been quite effective, GBP does sometimes get big DDs though.

PS: Some TS's are heavier than others, like Basket_Trader_V9_TS can be quite a load with all it's options. Also once CycleV4 starts loading up the entries MT4 becomes understandably slow, so reducing the charts helps with that.

PSS: BTW with my dedicated Windows7 box I have trimmed out all unnecessary programs and services, so now it runs with 22 open programs, six of which are MT4 terminals. The CPU load has dropped dramatically after I also include MT4 windows minimize and have one MT4 screen open maximized, 10-15% load normally.

Thanks I think will give OANDA a try. Incidentally I had received notification from Australian brokers that due to ASIC regulation changes they would be switching non resident client funds to offshore which was of some concern. However ICM as one example just notified me that those plans have changed and there will no changes after all. Cheers

Hi Justuncle,

Yeah I have been a little busy so will make some changes this week and see how things go. Strange thing is that even though the DB isnt updating as it should the load on the processor and memory usage isn't that high at all and we well under half. If I minimise the Terminal and then maximise it again it seems to update the DD correctly. This is where it can miss basket closures etc.

I will definitely try some more setups as I haven't been closing he charts, just minimising the terminals. Will look through my VPS too and trim out anything unnecessary but to be fair it is already pretty lean but there is always more items till kull.

I believe the MT4 and DB slow response issue is nothing to do with the CPU been too busy, but that the DB is in a timeout loop waiting for the Broker to confirm a trade or a modification. So when you have many trades open then each one can cause the time out wait causing the DB to become sluggish. So the more trades you have open in a particular terminal the bigger the sluggishness....That is what I have been observing in any case. This is highlighted when there is a big spike up or down, you will find it impossible to change anything whilst it's happening, try it yourself around a big red news event.

So for me the main reason for reducing the number of charts is to keep the number of trades within reasonable control and the DB should behave better.

H4 CycleV4: Cycle(3,0)+RSI(1440,4)+Addons(9,0.5) - continued from red Monday, EL just 120/60 but manage to climb to 422, that's 800+pips, great result.

Nice results!

Attached is my Cycle Trader H4 from today missing the TP500 mark by a few points before losing a fair wack. Interesting to see the difference EL250/125 and EL120/60 made in the final P/L by comparison. Would be interested to know any thoughts developing on Basket SL for this setup based on reasonable account size using 0.1 lot trading. I have seen the occasional DD as high as 850 pips before reversal but it did take more than a day or so, hence looking at Basket SL in more detail.

Also my Cycle Trader H1 setup is still running per attached; I suspect EL needs to be set more reasonably; will reset for next session.
