This is too funny, or sad -- you choose...

The default MT4 Envelopes indicator is identical to the M1 TMA indicator we've all been using and which defines the TMA Pressure Zone. The reversal trading we've been practicing here and over at the Dark Side waits for price to poke its head above or below a channel line. The channel bands created by @George's M1 TMA are identical to the bands created by the Envelopes indicator.

In the screen shot above the yellow bands come from the Envelopes indicator. If you look closely you can also see the red and white lines from the M1 TMA.

This doesn't change anything just that it's a shame so many of us -- myself included -- wasted time and mental energy trying to figure out this key component of @George's trading methodology. It was there all along -- as a "useless, MT4, default indicator". Who would'a thought...

@profitfarmer -- I've acknowledged several times -- you are a gentleman and expert trader. And, yes, you definitely do NOT require hand-holding or spoon-feeding. And, yes, you are approachable.

But, also, you've hitched your horse to @George's wagon in a serious way. You are very visible on his thread giving advice. On @George's thread they frequently mention this thread. Previously it was insulting and abusive, but more recently just mocking or sarcastic -- which is fine.

My preference is NOT to use PM -- I prefer that everything remain out in the open.

You did not miss an update. The buttons belong to the new version I'm currently working on. I'm hoping to release it later this evening (PST). The buttons are for filtering the candidate signals.

And, as karma would have it, about 5 minutes after responding to a visitor's email I discovered that @George's amazing M1 TMA that he worked out after 1000's of hours of deep study, really is just MT4's default, Envelopes indicator.

With so much hatred for George, what did he do to you?

The behaviour of the Envelopes and the TMA is certainly different. In your example you have chosen to use a Smoothed Moving Average and the TMA uses a Triangular Moving Average. I expect you to know the different calculations that are involved.

Also in the MT4/5 Envelopes indicator you can adjust only 1 period and the other comes by default. With the TMA you can adjust both periods. Hence George emphasized that one must play around with its settings for the different pairs (and of course he doesn't share his settings for his basket).

I attach an image showing the differences between the two (Red and Blue are Envelope bands as according to your settings and White are Extreme TMA bands). In the image the Envelopes would have misled you more than once.

You say "wasted time and mental energy"... but this is your own fault. George tried to warn and guide you but you didn't listen (I leave you with some of his quotes):

It seems you didn't use the right settings for the Envelopes. Here they are in color blue, compared to the "mighty" TMA lines:
