If you look real close you can see another basket has closed in profit BUT take a look at the DD.....
Presumably a news spike caused a reversal and subsequent basket closure.
This is the risk with using marty - especially when you start to use bigger initial entry lot sizes.

Slow going for my setups, but still really happy with the Cycle D1 with RSI filter; It's a long game I like it slow and profitable.

Did not end up changing the H1 from 0.7 to 1 it's doing ok.

And this is the strict D1 that I will be manually testing out other indicators on the long term that confirm the Cycle TS, will not post it very often as I expect it to be a very slow mover.

The current idea is using the standard Kumo Cloud as a simple trend indicator; under the cloud sell, over the cloud buy, in the cloud no trade. Dropped the Cycle to 1 ball wait 1 and it needs to agree with the cloud and the following two indicators. The xb4a (kind of a moving average) and the Trend Direction & Force (TDFI). Exits will be xb4a color change or HA color change. All may change over time as I dive deeper into the rabbit hole.

All indicators agreed to sell.

Hi Matt just to add here my Axi trader live account froze completely yesterday in mid trading with S9 working away for which support had zero explanation aside from resetting my MT4 password. This somehow and amazingly resolved the issue but clearly another of the tricks up their sleeve as Gene put it. I am therefore transferring out of Axi and relying more on Pepperstone and ICM hopefully. Cheers

That's great news.

I was planning to run around 10 instances of S9/MT4 installations on my new Win 10 box however in spite of the 32Gb RAM and SSD storage found them hogging the system so now down to 6 instances and all working well with decent response times.

Hope to gear up for extended live trading however yesterday's experience of Axitrader demonstrated selection of suitable brokers for S9 continuity is also essential.

I wonder if Gene and other fellow traders also have any other findings to share on how to workaround dodgy brokers in order to have real life success with Cycle Trader.

So far first test with v6 doing OK with these settings, which were based on ones posted by Earle, its almost like a scalper.

Here are a couple of currently running identical setups from today using Cycle Trader H4 filtered by RSI with increased lot size of 0.1 and EL variations of 150/50 & 250/125. Interestingly the RSI setting of 1440/1 4/5/79/21 flagged the Buy on NZDCHF in only one setup making a significant impact on MAX EQ (charts attached). By no means an expert in RSI but would be interesting to know if this is a broker anomaly or just good old RSI algorithm somehow distinguishing NT from Buy. Cheers

I agree that 6 terminals is the limit before system resources are hogged too much and terminals start to become slow to respond. Six terminals should be enough terminals in most cases.

I assume those Terminal trades were made on different Brokers, the historical data from each Broker will be different. The results I have for OANDA Broker are different again for CycleV4(3,0)+RSI(1440,4):

Yes indeed the results were from different brokers and thanks for the clarification. Interesting to see even more varied result from OANDA as compared to Pepperstone and ICM in terms of the number of trades opened and of course the bottom line. Seems in identical setups OANDA consistently leads with more trades and resulting pips.

for live trading, a genuine broker who will not trade against you, because in fact they use the direct liquidity of the ECN interbank and only make money from commissions (and can provide liquidity receipts for any trade)- Global Prime. great spreads, demo almost identical to live. Hands down a great mt4 broker

Another successful basket close setting manual direction.

Thanks for the hint, I will give their Demo account a try out. I have been looking for another good Australian based ASIC-regulated Broker with reasonable spreads and MT4 support. I believe you should not have all you eggs in one Broker and I currently use two for Forex trading, the Oanda Broker which has been very reliable but there spreads are higher than other Brokers and closes down it's servers on the weekend (at least Demo ones, have not gone live yet).
