Im holding USDJPY as long term hold from 108.22 on other account, got 3 different strategies trying out at moment.

Youve been around these boards for a while, have you come across Davits Pivot strategy?

Ive been trying that on MT4 platform, its not to bad. Less stress and getting okay results. Using smaller positions and may take up to 10 positions on a pair.

Also linked in MT4 platform with https://www.myfxbook.com, its pretty good website, keeps stats of past trades like a trade journal but better as can drill down on vairos information....worth a look.

Good to try out the strategies...at the end of the day, if you master around two different strategies, these are enough to allow you to take at least one trade a day. That's all you need.
For Davits povits,nah...never heard of it.
myfxbook ...I came across it. I might look into it.

yeah well worth a look...here is couple of screenshots of what it looks like, (stats dont look impressive as its demo account with £50K, ive just been trading as if I have £10k so max margin i use is around £7k)

You can add notes against each trade as to create a journal of why you took the trade etc. very useful compared to maintaining excel spreadsheet.

Ive just set up another MT4 account now, so I have two terminals running on same PC. This will allow me to use IG Index demo account for day trades (original one is for Pivot system, over longer timeframe). Going to take some getting used to using LOT sizes instead of £ per point that Im used to.

didnt look at that, cut a ot of charts out, was too much to analyse. Was avoiding the Asia ones as dont want to hold over night when Asia news comes out...just trying to minimise risk.

Saying that have got the below open at the moment on the new Day Trade account I set up. So far having good day.

Strange using MT4, on some pairs you cant set stops (modifying the trade) unless its 140 pips away.

Liking the FXBook, wish I found it couple of months ago to use as trading journal.
Prefer using Trading View over MT4 for chart analysis to pick trades. Also in MT4 the minimum stop distance from price is way too high.

Took some nice profit on this one. Came out a bit early, I thought it will bounce back and re-enter again but it continued down.
