I learned from a wise monk the old statement of Hermes Trismegistus:
"As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul ..."

After my enlightenment I was able to complete the statement with
"As left, so right"
that's why I'm not worried. OM .

I like thease indies. But same for me. When visualy backtesting alllmost all trades in profit but yesterday open 4 trades 3 of them hit sl one in minus. Something strange. Maybe indicator repaints and when we look in history band is not in same place like in realtime?

Thanks for the remarks, everything is possible and I did not have the time to test.

Maybe the "Signal" indicator is better.

This is exactly what I meant by looking right, maybe the R:R needs to be different when Forward testing, also a good check would be to backtest the week that you have just Forward tested and see if the results change

Surely you're right, I have to fly back to Tibet again

I ignored that I read that the TMA moving average repainted.
If possible, I try to find a practical solution, or maybe can help me briefly @NIH98, the great TMA expert.

It was nether about whether I am right or wrong, its only about sharing and caring, I didn't want the results to look too good to be true before Forward testing.

Trading reversals (or finding Tops & Bottoms) is extremely hard to make profitable.

Trading pullbacks (mini reversals) after some profit taking is the best way forward for more consistent results.

Hello @Swingman. Thanks for your great work and goodies to us. I have monitored the Signals indicator in the last hour (GMT+3) on 15m and they do repaint as time changes but I believe that may not necessarily mean that the project may not work perhaps, the ones which repaint do not last for long and with a stop loss may be stopped within a small loss or even small gain, and may also be fully compensated for by the ones which run profitably the whole length targeted profit.

But even more important, this is just to alert you(be your eyes) so that when you find time to improve/ edit it, you dont have to waste your precious time looking/running it to find all the points that require attention. Below a current status in the GBPJPY15. As you can see it is indicating a positive buy in the upper zone which should (I believe should be rather a Sell). And this has been the case in the preceeding 4 candles. And Who knows, perhaps after all these false signals it will finally indicate a Sell which will howler a vey big mov down and we recoup all our losses!!

Ps. Just thought that maybe entry should be made after the close of candle, that is if it sticks there when its time has elapsed. Still monitoring though I believe saw one previously which lived beyond its time before disapearing.

I have just found the repainting "phenomenon" and believe that I have a solution. In a few hours I can try to program that.
(Everything has to be done by myself...)

No, no, the signal is totally wrong!

I only wrote this indicator this morning and did not have time to sit in front of the monitor and test it.

At the moment the signals are on trend, maybe later we should also consider counter trends.
But, if you trade 28 pairs and 4-5 time frames, the winnings are enough to enter into my double inner circle.

Hi Sir @SwingMan, Yes you use the 'intended repainting' TMA calculation module inside your Indi which is no problem at all , as long as it use for it's main purpose, to mapping and analysis the waves and not use as entry signals. the other NRP TMA version (that actually LWMA mid line) could work as signals trigger in extreme level conditions as long as it use for counter trend trades. So maybe you could give option into your TMA indi, to user selectable between 'repainting module' and 'non repainting module'.

First of all thank you very much for your effort.
I just saw a false Buy Signal in the right upper Part of the attached Screenshot on GBP/USD 15min chart.
As I understand buy signals are generated below the blue center line and sell signals above the orange line.

Hi SwingMan I really like what you've done with the TMA thanks for your work.

As for the repainting you could take a look at this TMA's code as it has been made a non repainting version, perhaps you can use parts of the code to help fix the repainting part of yours. Cheers.

Hi @mrdfx - many thanks for your support - you are one of the few of the over 150 downloaders, and I appreciate that ...
There are several TMA variants I've studied, and I've retained a single one (TMAcentered). The TMA_TRUE_v2 is a simple not triangular version (only an LWMA).
Now I make the changes and hope for a stable version.
