Normally i use the 89 on counter trend trades (on M5) like for example the big dip on WTI last couples of days.
chart below was reversal on WTI. Was busy at work so i missed the opportunity

Quite a lot of the time the trades are small moves in comparison, the Dow has a tendency to reverse, the reverse is the danger, that's why my trades are short lived, as I type, it's taking place, it has to shoot through or close for me to be convinced, hope this helps a little, D

I want to add a couple of things.

Imho trading is extremely close to gambling but as traders we have an advantage over gamblers.
We can “play” only when odds are in our favor.
