If I gave you my exact settings for what I'm doing, you would not learn anything, you would be just following me like a blind man.

You need to continually test and experiment in your trading to find what works best for you.

I am ALWAYS testing, regardless of how profitably my trading is at any given time.

hi pt, I'm in a similar position at the moment. Restarted trade explorer last month and currently up 20%ish. Here's hoping it can continue. Random question but how do you post the trade explorer monthly return at the bottom of your posts? Seen a few people doing it but can't seem to see where you do it. Good luck with your strategy.

It's now 2 months since I started this strategy that I've laballed "Maximizer".

After 2 months net profit including open trades is 13.7%... realized profit (on closed trades only) is 15.1% which I'm happy with. If I can maintain 7.5% a month on average, my account will double every 10 months... 6½ years to $1,000,000.

After analyzing a spreadsheet of my trades this last 2 months I've decided to swap out the 2 worst performing pairs (EUR/USD and AUD/NZD) and bring in the best 2 from my demo testing of other pairs... the GBP/NZD and EUR/JPY.

Attached below is a link to the excel spreadsheets of my last 2 months trading the Maximizer method.

Hello

Very interesting thread and wish you to succeed!

Could at least tell me if it's a Martingale?

Thank you

Hi my fellow Aussie mate ! (corny i apologize),

I was just wondering do you set Stop losses for all your trades? or just some you feel like you need to ?

Hypothetically if you were to place Stop losses on all your trades, do you think your ROI would be lower ?

Absolutely NOT martingale. You can see by the trades in history its not.

Sorry, I just read the whole 8 pages.

You started so well!!

I think you should stick to the initial 4 hour chart trades and limit the number of open positions and size as well.

I am an Aussie too

Mate how is this going?

I thought you were on to a winner here but just needed to work through your self discipline rules.

My suggestions:
Keep the retrace, pullback entry on the 4hr chart but ONLY IN DIRECTION OF DAILY TREND.
Enter on 50% fib and use the 100% as stop
Enter again at the 0% fib
Risk 1% per trade with max of 5 trades on at any one time
Target 1 is 1:1 where you close 1/2 the position and move stop to BE.
Use a trailing stop based on 10MA or 2 candle count back line
No scalping if trade goes against you
No panick closing.
If trade goes against then keep looking for further continuation signals or wait for new trend to confirm.

With this I believe you will avoid a lot of the tiny wins of +1 as well as give you enough room not to be stopped out so much. You were picking the continuations very well so you need to build around that but have rules in place to stop your judgement calls.

Regards, another fellow Aussie from Brisbane

Been reading thru my old thread... nutjob that I am.
I stopped trading over 3 years ago, sold my multi monitor setup and xeon computer, bought a campervan and took off around Australia.
3 years later I am now in Darwin, half way around this enormous island continent.
I've been in Darwin 16 months, and now training 19 greyhounds (racing model). Its been fun and profitable... with gambling profits from betting on my dogs, I've purchased a yacht... so in 6 or 7 weeks its off to Sydney to go aboard and sail it up to Darwin, hopefully I make it without running aground or sinking.

Oh... and I started Demo Trading again to get away from Facebook.

Well... it's another 12 months after my last post.

I sold my yacht because it needed too much work to fix it up, took a loss, but at least I'm not paying mooring fee's.

I am now training 27 racing greyhounds in Darwin... yup, I'm definitely crazy!

I am "into" forex a little running a friends EA on a live account, and I'm fairly heavily involved in Crypto Currency's, buying solid looking Crypto's and ICO's and running/testing another friends Bot on HitBTC on crypto's... and NO, it is NOT for public viewing.

I "may" show a link to my Forex account running the Forex EA later, but not yet.

Over 12 months later its now late May 2019.

I used simple Price Action to decide to buy Bitcoin in mid December 2018 @ US$3,200 and NOT sell it.
