The institutions net short Euro positions increased one week by 10,801 contracts , 2 lots shy from maximum net short level since 2016.
Closing price on that day 1.1161..2 days before the big drop to 1.1107..

Another note.. They also added long to US dollars...

COT helps me too every week... it gives me a general idea for a bigger trend.. .to see what the big money is up to...

I was curious about the buy/sell area earlier. 1161 has/had more sitting on the north side then.

now that we know it was 1161, the move high to low is centered at 1159. very close to 1161. ironically the LC week close is 1159

yesterday it was 1159. today 1161, balanced. week and month not to far off either.

I had longs and closed them 118x. I started collecting shorts on the rise. I plan on collecting more if it goes up higher. month and week have some R 122x. I wanted to put a bigger short there. Pa never made it, then the 4h triggered. So i added one there, & a scalp. I closed the larger scalp. I hoped to close below 1186 day.. not going to happen

I stay short, will add if this goes higher next week.....daily downtrend stop 1.1233......
which may cap the bounce....
By the way we earn 3 days swap with Oanda.. .. sweet..

that's the problem with no central (official data) in forex. most people think their broker is superior. the same with closes. No official close open. It sucks when close at times.

Yep. But from the available sources, myfxbook has some decent amount of traders. And at least they have no reason to be biased, unlike the brokers, who can post anything that suits them.
Everyone can see the chart, but only a few can actually read it.

you are right.. the similar in fxblue too..retail more shorts than longs..

its been heading down for almost 1.5 years. I'm sure we got diehard hedgers with longs for that long. And diehard shorters just reaching a profit yesterday. After holding shorts for 2 years. At least the shorters collected the swap.
