Hello traders!

It's been one year that I started this thread and I went MIA, a few of you have messaged me to see if I went live trading or what happened.

Well early last year I was doing decent with my Nadex demo trading and was almost comfortable to go live, and honestly I got laid off from the job I was in at that time. I couldn't risk the money I was going to trade live with until I found another job, so I withdrew the money I had deposited in my live account and never went live with Nadex.
Bad news is that I accepted a warehouse job in the morning shift which I thought I was going to quit it in a few weeks and before I knew it, almost year passed by. I still kept observing charts in the evenings to study the market but I will not trade on Nadex in the evening because the spread and the contract price are not my ideal risk.

Now i'm a new job, office work and it's flexible so I could trade in the mornings with a 2 hour window.
So i'm back with my plan to go live soon, I adjusted my strategy and I might start posting my demo results on here again... i don't know if I will though because I made this thread a mess unless you guys are interested in observing my results whether I'm profitable or not.

Sorry my friend, I can't share my strategy without proving its successful with live trading and do you and other traders wrong.
If it's profitable after a period of time with live trading, I possibly will.

Live and demo are completely different beasts. The price quotes are none existent outside the main strike price and even that price differs greatly from the demo. My main strategy was based on 20/80-30/70 trades and failed miserably because it was more like 2/98-10/80 in the live account. I understand if Nadex would mess with the lot but why mess with the quotes and mislead traders who did good in demo and guaranteed to fail in live just because of quotes being different. The only solution is to completely re-vamp the strategy to reflect the risk/reward ratio on Nadex live account.

Sorry I don't understand the 20/80-30/70, were you trading binaries or spreads? Also, morning or evening trading?
But that's great to know, so thanks for the advise and heads up! i'll definitely have to observe my strategy on the live Nadex platform to analyze and adjust my R/R ratio accordingly.
20/80 - taking 20 profit risking 80 etc. With live that risk to profit ration drops significantly.
On another note, forgot to mention. Time decay is none existent in live. If you don't get in at the first 5-30 seconds of the trade its not worth it because profit to risk ration is not worth it. Your strategy will need to be at the top of the minute or predicting the next 5 minute candle.

Ohh got it that makes sense, yes exactly as you noted, for 5 min binaries i could only enter if its early and i'm trading with 1 min chart with 50/50 - 40/60 trades if I could only get into the trade. Lets see if it actually works out with live binaries though

Were you trading in the mornings or evenings?
So I decided to go Live on Nadex today with a $500 deposit. The way to level up my learning is control my nerves and emotion with live money.
My trading session will be only between 10am - 12pm EST, I live in California so it's 7am - 9am here.

When my funds became available at 11:23am, I had a trade signal go off before my session was over and I was nervous but still executed the trade... it's a much different feeling live from demo for me at the moment.
Anyway, trade was good and so was my execution.

Also, I started an instragram page to create a social trading log as well...

I trade when ever I can. The setup that I use to tell me when to enter also works off the 1m chart so entries are hit and miss depending on what minute the signal comes for entry. The ideal indicator would be on 5 minute chart predicting the next 5 minute candle but I haven't found anything that works on that time-frame that produces enough signals to make it worthwhile sitting in-front of the computer. My strategy is bases around volume and rsi, what are you currently using?

I've thought of that before as well, to try and find a strategy that predicts the next 5m bar, but I haven't had much research.
Exactly, when a signal does go off for me on the 1m chart, it needs to be good on the time frame and binary price for me to send in a working order but usually it does not so I just need to try and be patient.

I use 50 SMA with price action.

Live Account: $406.25

First trade was a loss but a valid entry so thats good with me.
Second trade was a 100% impulsive with no valid signal and a OTM strike, I was trying to make back my first loss. Terrible play.
Third trade was an invalid entry so I exited the trade asap at break even.
Fourth trade was a valid loss.

There was multiple signals to enter a trade, but I couldn't get a good ATM strike or price and each strike was 4 pips wide on 5m binaries today

Lets see how tomorrows session goes.

It's my 3rd day trading real money, I still feel nervous when i'm about to place a trade but I had a way better performance today than I did yesterday.

Pros: All trades were valid entries and valid signal, I tried controlling my urge to force trades and be impulsive.
Con: I hesitated to place a few trades when it was my signal to enter, I missed 3 opportunities because due to fear and hesitation, but i'm also doing this while i'm at work so I get distracted and I will miss some trade opportunities.
Also, I'm not supposed to TP my trades but I kept TP'ng out of fear of losing the trade, would have made more if I would have followed my system and let every trade expire.

Still trading 5 min expiries?
im back on 5 min/1hr expiry nadex demo after taking a break for a couple years.
ive had the same experience after coming back. demo 5 minute did great with 20/80 17-1 , but going live pricing is completley different ex. just had a buy signal 6/10s of a pip otm for $99.75 its pretty much become non tradeable.
market makers prob got cleaned out past cpl yrs from traders with solid strats and adjusted pricing, may have to look into longerterm expiries if i stay live
these were 5 min demo, pricing live at 2 pips itm isnt even an option asian session anyway

Trade only expiry 3pm mean end of day " FOREX"
