Disliked{quote} @mixedbags -- why do you say "by the time your indicator shows the 0.1 gap"? If there is a gap between a Close and Open bar, then I think that should be detectable when you get the first tick of the Open bar.Ignored

Disliked{quote} After detecting, it could be too late to make any decision. Sitting at the screen get ready to press Buy/Sell when that 0.1 gap confluence with M1 at the extreme of TMA??? If H4 or H1 at the extreme, then M15 or M5 wait for gap to happen if gap then press Buy/Sell at M1 extremeIgnored
Disliked{quote} Good morning -- I think... Excuse me -- it's "His Majesty". And I didn't get my backside out of bed since I haven't been to bed yet Yes -- I get the importance of Boxes and also the precision. How did you detect these small gaps in the first place? They are not visible by eye when looking at a chart? Did you go bar-by-bar and hover the mouse to read the OHLC of each bar? If so, you should have been a scientist -- few people pay such close attention to detail.Ignored
Disliked{quote} So what is the significance of gaps? Why does the MM create them? FullaIgnored

Disliked{quote} Unless I misunderstood @moodybot's interpretation -- I don't think you have to be sitting at the keyboard the moment the first Open tick arrives. I think his point was the gap becomes a target that the MM will fill at some time in the future. Exactly when that is, well, I'm not sure how or if we know that.Ignored

Disliked{quote} @fullaforex -- a number of posts back when I first mentioned I was working on an indicator to detect liquidity gaps I reported an interesting observation. And it appears the same observation holds true in @George's example here. Since no one objected to my earlier explanation, I'll repeat it again. I think a gap represents a stack of orders that went unfulfilled. In @Georges example, it was a stack of SELL orders. I don't know if the size of the gap matters -- i.e. 0.1 pip or 10 pip. The point is there is a stack of SELL orders that have...Ignored
Disliked{quote} So looking at Georges chart he posted and the action it contained, for me it seemed clear the MM was enticing bullish traders to enter and raise their stops higher and within easy reach. It was attempting to suggest that as the price was still returning to the same level, this was a tip off price was about to become bullish again. However the MM just desires bullish traders and close stops. {image}Ignored
