@skyway -- no confirmation is required. It's like if I said black cloths makes one look slimmer -- you can try it for yourself and see.

The message that is being conveyed and which you refuse to grasp is the confirmation you so desperately want needs to come from YOU. If you can confirm it, then you'll be off to the races. And if you can't confirm it then, well, continue your search elsewhere. This is something that only YOU and YOU alone can confirm and decide whether there is value here for you.

I don't know if you have any kids. Have you ever tried teaching a child to walk? You can't. You can write the instructions on a piece of paper -- as detailed as possible -- and it will make no difference. Do you recall how you first learned to walk? Did someone hand you a recipe and you simply followed it? This is a situation where if you want to walk bad enough then you will need to do it on your own and be willing to fall from time-to-time. If you can't bring yourself to do that it's fine -- you're not alone. You can ask until you are blue in the face -- the confirmation is not going to come from @moodybot or anyone else.

I'm so sad, this Shiba Inu "Master" don't teach him/her correct manner and not take care of him/her nicely and only look at him/her like a toy, chasing own tail reflect stress or depression. So, I wish none of you chasing your own tail because your master not take care of you.

I have to make it clear here. I do not need George mm psychology to trade. I have zero interest in that.

From day one, my interest is solely in his claims.

What a pleasant surprise -- I awoke from my nap and there was no one to argue with. Oh, well -- I guess I'll return to Liquidity Gaps...

I'm a rookie and it's only within the past 24 hours I've become interested in liquidity gaps -- so, keep that in mind as you read the following. Since @moodybot didn't take me up on my offer of sparing me the embarrassment, I'll take an initial stab. If anyone has additional thoughts / comments please share them. This wouldn't be the first time I've embarrassed myself and I certainly hope it won't be the last.

Below is a screen shot of a new indicator I'm working on -- MMLiquidityGapIndi -- and which I'll share in the next day or so:

There are two types of "gaps" I'm now aware of -- liquidity gaps and price gaps -- perhaps there's more, I don't know. Price gaps are often easy to spot since there is a blank space between the previous close and the next open. I think there are a variety of explanations for price gaps, but I don't want to get into them now. It's liquidity gaps that I'd like to focus on.

So -- what exactly is a liquidity gap? I mean, like where's the gap? I don't see a gap. Liquidity gaps have nothing to do with target levels or stop losses (again, keep in mind I'm a rookie) -- as far as I can tell. This is what I think happens -- it's all based on BUY and SELL orders that need to be filled.

There are stacks of BUY and SELL orders at all prices. These orders will only be transacted when the specified price has been reached. It's like buying or selling a used car -- you wait until the price is right.

The example above is a "bullish" liquidity gap. It looks like there must be a stack of BUY orders beginning at around 1.15530 and ranging up to around 1.16350. BUY orders start getting filled at around 29 Jun 04:00 at a price of 1.15695. And then, suddenly, the price spikes to 1.16350, before falling back a little to 1.1685. All the BUY orders between 1.15695 and 1.1685 remain unfilled. There are institutions that want to buy EURUSD between the range [1.15695,1.16695] but they will now have to wait until the price returns to the range they wish to buy at.

A very important observation that @George pointed out to me and which will be obvious to everyone who now looks for it -- there is a very high probability the price will return to fill the range [1.15695,1.16695] -- otherwise called "gap" -- so that all those unfulfilled BUY orders can be transacted.

Again -- nothing to do with TOPS and BOTTOMS, target levels or stop losses. Liquidity gaps are unfilled orders that are waiting for the price to return within a range so the transaction can be completed.

Another important point I'll return to -- liquidity gaps are like MAGNETS -- that is, price will return to fill the gap. Target levels are "anti-magnets" -- that is, artificial levels the MM has created to lure traders into thinking there is a floor (support) or ceiling (resistance) beyond which the price will not broach. Target levels are created by the MM to give traders the impression that price will repel away. In contrast, liquidity gaps serve as magnets.

Bring the top of the red box down to the lowest low of the candle to the right, the remainder of the box is the remaining price gap that will get filled.

I've marked 5 locations -- this is really, really interesting. In fact, if you don't hear from me again it's because the MM police sent their termination squad...

(1) Look at label #1 -- you see the bearish (magenta) liquidity gap preceding it. At label #1 you can see the price rising to fill a portion of the bearish liquidity gap that has a bunch of SELL orders that are waiting to be transacted. Once the price begins rising and filling the bearish liquidity gap then some of the pent-up SELL orders can be completed. And what happens when SELL orders get completed, the price falls. Do you see how the price moves up into the bearish liquidity zone and, then, shortly thereafter it falls?

(2) Look to the left of label #2 -- you see the bullish liquidity gap? Though it took awhile, the price falls (at #2) to allow all the pent-up BUY orders that previously went unfulfilled to finish their transaction. And what do you think happens when BUY orders start to get filled? Correct, the price starts to rise. Do you see the price go up a bit at #2?

(3) Check out this one -- it's really, really clear what's happening. The price drops to fill the bullish liquidity gap and allow the unfulfilled BUY orders to finish being transacted. In fact, it only takes one bar to fill the gap. And what happens when all those pent-up BUY orders get transacted? The price immediately goes back up.

(4) Same thing.

(5) Same thing. It's really clear what's happening, right?

Why would they not just remove the orders and enter the market at another level, they could wait weeks for these gaps to be revisited while their money is not working for them.

Good question. I searched and I could not find an "official" specification for what constitutes a liquidity gap. So, I came up with my own and will describe that in greater detail when I release the indicator.

Basically, the indicator computes the average body size for the past 500 bars. If a particular candle is 3x bigger than the average body size then it becomes a candidate liquidity gap. I then check the high and low of adjacent candles, and if the gap is larger than, say, 5 pips I'll mark it as a liquidity gap. Keep in mind this is 100% empirical. It's really simple -- I'm just giving you the flavor.

After I release the indicator I'm hoping to get feedback. I have no doubt that as the indicator matures the definition of what constitutes a liquidity gap will become more refined and accurate.
