I've been using SWGex(2,1,30), SEMe(2,1), RSIe(1440,5,5,74,26) + Addons on the 4hr time frame on TYO open, so far looks ok still early days though. I've been trying different EL TP/SL and for this week I have settled on lot size 0.1, EL 80/40 and TP/SL 160/240. The thing I like about Basket_Trader is that Addons only occur when you are in profit, so you get less addons and profits will build up quick without the high risk of lots of Marty's in the opposite direction, if that makes sense.

That's perfect thanks a lot also agree on Add on usage specially for smaller account size. Although not as exciting may still run 0.01 lot to mimic live trading for now. Cheers

Great to see you are doing some variations to the main defaults, you may have noticed from my recent posts that I'm trying some different pair groups as well: All USD pairs only and All Pairs except USD on the 15m TF starting on London open.

London and NewYork were are bit quiet yesterday, but still managed to gain some pips, all setups manually closed ready for new Day.

i know currrently you seem to be mostly focused on the cycle TS, but are you still testing the below HAS/HM settings?

I think to be more successful with the HAS/HAS2 combos you need to be more selective on the the pairs, don't just use the 28pairs, but look for pairs that are exhibiting trending behaviour recently in the market.

PS: There is a bug with Basket_Trader TS when using the HAS/HAS2 options that has not been resolved yet, this was demonstrated in post #3738 and confirmed by other members. Until Eugene has time to look at it, I presented a temporary solution in post #3746

Hi blamshakk unfortunately not at present as I found the HAS or HAS/HAS2/HM240 to be increasingly too slow to catch profits in time in current market so I shall continue to test Cycle Trader v3 along with Basket Trader v9 (Swing combinations) with a view to going live at some point soon. Cheers

My Cycle v3 is plodding along nicely so far this week.
Will let it run it's course.

some great work there thanks to the usual suspects ...be with you soon.....just a query....is marty being only on one side a result of USA no hedging or just the strat evolvement etc.....ps I am not complaining ,I love these tools and the results speak for themselves...however I do use a full marty system for news trades that works well......keep up the good work....I may start testing today after news.....just for something different I will test long or short only ie above or below daily pivot we will see if it reduces drawdown..time will tell..thanks to all contributors

Cheers, and it's a sure good sign of your trust in those TSs to contemplate going live. i have to catch up on the thread in more detail when i get a chance but cycle TS sure does seem relatively consistent. keep us posted

The Marty is one sided, it is not specifically designed to handle news events. On the Basket_Trader_V9 the Martys are added only a fractal break (normally after a short Pullback) and only when the trade is already in profit. Whereas for CycleV3 they are stacked like a grid system in one direction only, this is because the exact Swing Point is not easy to find and the signals repaint until the actual swing occurs.

Nice work!!

My 5min bit the dust last week and ended up 10K down! Have moved to 15min which seems a little more stable than the 5min and have moved the add-ons out to 1 x ADR which seems to space them a little nicer. Started a couple of hours after London open yesterday however forgot to set the Stop After 1 so snagged a few baskets. I like the idea of grabbing a basket on each session, even if that is two a day, take some money from the market then close for the next session.

Have restarted at London Open today so hopefully that closes out before bed then go from there. Have also started a test with similar settings but 0.2 lot in the hope to close some larger baskets in a shorter time and get out. Currently London just closed a basket with the EL set 200/75 with $157 profit. Will reset and leave to NY Open.

Has anyone experimented using the Dashboard TP & SL? Would be interested to see how that worked.

I have used the individual Pair based TP/SL in past setups with mixed success, but have not tried it on the swing style setups. My reason being I treat the Swing trades like a basket, so I don't restrict any individuals potential for a large profit, and conversely I want to give the individual DD plenty of chance to reverse. I do however, place Broker Exit TP/SL on ever trade, I use TP=5xADR and SL=3xADR.
