Disliked{quote} Thanks. I would love to do a case study on one of your failed strategies if you don't mind sharing the backtesting and live results for a month or so... just to check the variances of which trading stats started to decay and at what rate to trigger a decommission. To me, if a strategy does not survive for more than 3 months, it is NOT worth going the automation route... unless you are trading a basket of strategies across markets. I would be devastated to see my algo fail (let alone fail after 3 months lol) Perhaps I have yet to experience...Ignored
the strategy was inspired by Toby Crabel, does have an edge and still is, but i could not make consistent money with it. Exit on opposite signal, or when price reversed to lower boundary of the range. Exit at end of day, or use a profit target of your chosing. i.e. daily atr. End od day proved to be better, as it allows running market to go all the way.
if you trade it manually, you will perhaps make a killing. automated was tough.
how about you test it out, share the result her for group discussion.
