Could kick myself, the chart led the way, just didn't follow like I should have, we now could have a pullback to what I can only see as 64 and a possible continuation to 63 and lower or we have a bounce from here to, and your not going to like this, 68-70 then 90, (on the monthly), D

I am short from 65.03 with TP @63.00.
The short signal was @65.31 but I wasn't at the desk at that moment hence I am in with a small size.
With a 31 ticks late entry a SL now is not easy to set for me.
I will manage a retracement above 65.20 scaling out some.
@65.45 I will decide if getting out or scaling in full size.

It is quite uncommon in WTI to have a breakout at this time of the day, am I right?

Exactly, I think they rushed to do this because:
1- Tomorrow is Friday and they can use it to go for a correction/flag
2- Next week is half holiday (Japanese golden week)
3- Liquidity is very thin in the market (heard in press) and buyers don't push it up right away

This is why I'm optimist about starting the down move this time for real

Long AUDUSD is in my plans too, tried today at USD Core Durable but closed it soon after, now I think it was better to keep it open.
I will try a long again tomorrow with USD Advance GDP

Think the timing of this, although I'm not as informed as aariapoor, which is excellent bye the way, may have been a little suspect, either weekend news, as we have just had, or mid market, UK/US would seem more appropriate, hence the apprehension.
AUD/USD, news out of late created the demise and with a possible rate cut could create more havoc, me EA is trading this cross, and with a good record, has every chance of a bounce, hope this helps, D

There is a lack of buying support across several markets (equities, bonds, precious metals, oil).

On H4, the May contract breached an up trend line (blue) and EMA20. Now about 55 pips above top of previous trading range at ~64.56.

Some very knowledgeable folks are writing that this year could see the beginning of The Great Unraveling. I keep looking for signs.

I'll be re-entering long as I'm still bullish on oil from a macro perspective.

When we reach the low end of the data trade dynamic range ill begin looking at volume and volatility waiting for a long setup.

I'll be sure to post here as I enter. Really loving this little oil community.

I expected support at 64.85, I think it's bearish below this level and yesterdays low at 64.91

Next support around 64.56 but if it dips further I think we may see a new trend down for a while.

Light Crude Cycle outlook:

I expect a correction until end of May (LTD-9 Low - black).
LTD-6, LTD-7 came earlier, LTD-8 later.

Looks like I picked the right week to take a holiday - that breakout would've caught me off guard as I had 64.4 as the top.

taken a long at 63.92. SL at 63.69. TP open for now.

*edit - SL set to BE - if DS2 doesn't hold we could see 63.14.
Focus.
