Beautiful solution to the add on, looking forward to it. My 4H turned around today, Had two 1H running, one with limited adds and pairs to try and cut down on the draw down, it cut down to where I wanted it to but did not have enough oomph to kick it back to the take profit like the other one did.

hahaha a little clarification on my part Looking forward to the beautiful V3 update solution, I think it is a much better one than my attempt. The problem i see with limiting the number of marty, is you might get the first 4 then trend continues 7 more and you are in too deep without marty to dig you out. I do still think limiting the number of pairs will help. Long story short I shut the test down to start a new one with more marty and lass pairs.

My setup now has more DD than closed profits over the past week so I have closed it down.
Changed the starting lotsize to 0.01 and have now included addons and marty, as well as a basket TP and a timer close.
I will take whatever profit / loss there is for the day and start afresh at Sydney open.
That way if I get 3 profitable days out of 5 I could be in front by the end of the week.

The new grid addons appear to be a much better way of doing it and I look forward to the results of testing.

My setup closed due to timer. Unfortunately it closed in a loss but we shall see what today brings.
I had not used addons before and I agree with others here that an ATR type setup would be an improvement over the current setup.
I started mine just prior to the top of the hour yesterday and a couple of minutes later in a new hour the TS took virtually all the same trades again as part of the addons.

My Cycle setups were a mixed bag yesterday, getting mostly caught with AUD pairs going the opposite way after bad news:

4h Cycle(3,0), Asian open, big DD on AUD news but recovered later to post a Profit:

My Basket Trader Swing only setups also got hit by the AUD and CAD pairs, they are still in the Red with no recovery collections (pair TPs) as yet:

4hr Swing (2,2,48): Asian open, may need to change the cycle length to better match weekly Cycles, ie 30 might be better

hello blueuu, sorry but seller9 is so busy right now, he is working on an update on one of the TS.
but let me answer your question.

those spaces are reserved for something else.
try to turn on your 'TP' and 'SL' and numbers will show up on those empty spaces.

I am having an issue with the addon trade size.
I start with a 0.01 lot with max addons set to 3 for a total of 4 trades per progression.
Marty is set to true and for the most part the lotsizes are correct eg. .01, .02, .03 and .04 for a total of 0.10 per pair which is my intention.
However, quite of few pairs have the initial addon trade open at a lotsize of 0.05 so then subsequent lotsizes as per marty are .06 and .07 for a total lotsize of 0.19 which is almost double my intention and as a result the DD is increased as are the margin requirements.
Anyone else seeing the same?

Hi Pip Poppy,

Are you using the V2 of the cycle trader? This issue was recognised and corrected in version 2.

Hi All,

Thought I would try a little scalping with 5min charts and seems to be producing not bad results. I had a previous test I started late last night through NY session and was up close to $500 this morning however when I was checking on my phone I accidentally tapped the Close All Trades button instead of the Show Alert Window button and killed it. It was in DD over $400 so wiped out most of the profit so I restarted.

Basket TP was supposed to be $70 but I clicked it after first trades were taken. As you will see it has closed a total of 12 baskets and during writing this closed another one so up 13 baskets and $415! Not bad for a bit under 5 hrs. Setup is 0.05 lots, Cycle 3, 5 Add On's and Marty set to true. I think the way the Marty currently is has boosted the profits as its racks up add ons fairly rapidly on the 5 min chart but this could also go against you fairly quickly too. Eugene's new Marty scheme with ATR will space these out a bit more which will help reduce the risk a bit.

I will play with the EL settings and TP settings tomorrow once it has had a full day of trading and see how it fairs during the remainder of the london session and through the NY session ..... fingers crossed. Think the EL and TP needs to be increased as I think it has been cutting the baskets short giving the number of closed baskets. I have also left the Dashboard on a 15 min chart to give it a little breathing time between baskets which should give it a good 2-3 candles to reset before entering into more trades.

I definitely feel with pushing out the EL and TP up could squeeze a bit more out of each of those baskets as giving the high number of baskets with the 15 min break in between each one in only 4-5 hrs. This would reduce the number of baskets potentially but hopefully increase the overall Cycle P/L by maintaining the momentum that each basket has before cutting it off.

Could be a nice little scalper if tuned right. Here's hoping.

Thanks for remembering the ANZACS in all engagements (the significance of the date, 25th April, is actually when the ANZACS landed in Gallipoli in WWI).

Interesting idea for scalping, look forward to seeing further results of your testing.

I agree with mightymatt that sounds like you are still using v1 of Cycle TS.

Those areas are not blank, they are used when pair ADR SL and TP are selected.

Such changes do not make sense anyway, there no logical grouping of functions. The layout of this DB is perfectly fine for me.

Currently focusing on Cycle Trader 1/2/3/0 H4 trying to understand if there a best entry point to avoid large DD and very much looking forward to Gene's upcoming ATR introduction in v3 in the hope of reducing our exposure. Here are some results from the past couple of days. Cheers

OK my TS settings are default with Marty on just varying entry time at intervals between 00:00:00 and 22:00:00 BST and time allowing trying to see if any sync ups with high impact news and/or specific pair trading and current CDR/ADR make some difference; lets see ..
