Oh that was just short-term, only looking at the H4 supply. Was planning to hold short-term but we have hit stop loss now

Monitoring AudNzd, poor quality level when looking at daily/H4. Will look for confirmation on smaller time-frame to enter a buy.

Hi Rox99,

When you post setups could you include your TDA with rationale on why you’re seeing these buy/sell setups. Simply posting one chart and saying ‘looking at opportunity to buy/sell here’ isn’t really helping you or anyone and it’s hard for ppl to give you advice (if that’s what you are looking for as well as just showing trade opportunities you have found)

I’m not having a pop, I jut want what’s best for this thread and it’s members .

My charts mark the zones I'm interested in buying/selling at, not sure what you mean by rationale? I mark a deman zone and will not buying area on it so that's where I will be buying. Similar to my latest ChfJpy I marked supply level above meaning that's where I will be placing my sell order.

Maybe we are not on the same page by explaining rationale?

Hi Rox99,

What i I mean is could you show us your TDA rather than a single chart. Simply saying “I’m looking to buy/sell at this DZ/SZ respectively” gives no context.

Plus we don’t know whether you’re posting your curve TF, trend TF or entry TF, and therefore we don’t know what rationale you have deduced to come to that conclusion....

It would help all the members here and yourself if showed a TDA for the trades you are concuderung, that way you could get feedback on them. It is very hard to give advise or even to just agree with your setups as there is no context at all...

hey Rox99 , am just wondering why u Think thats a level ?

shouldnt it be the opposite color for the Cp level.

So question is - can I still sell after my trade, even if momentum line got broken and one supply taken out? or it`s not allowed with our rules and I should look for supply on time frame higher - 15m?

Supply and Demand – A tool, not a religion.

Good day to you fellow traders.
During a recent Roundtable meeting with my trading colleagues, we discussed the topic dearest to our hearts from a different perspective that got me thinking about how the average speculator (which most of us are) thinks about Supply and demand trading in light of all the online hype about it.

We discussed the topic of trading.

I would like to share with you some of the discussion in this article

We all want to make money. That is why we come into the world of speculation. The same way anyone being true to themselves goes ultimately goes into any profession. In the country where I live even doctors have gone on strike over pay so please don’t be taken in when people tell you they do a job because they love it. If love were the only motivation, they would do it for free, surely.
We all know that is not the case however.

Once we got that 150-pound gorilla out of the way, we then addressed the seemingly ever-growing theme online. That theme is that of the insistence on the part of a trader or group of traders using one particular method that their methodology is the only way to engage the markets successfully.

Narrowing the field further we specifically focused on the use or otherwise of indicators with supply and demand trading.

Many of you know my view on this but for those of you who may not know, allow me to share some of it here like we did on the Roundtable recently.

Supply and demand trading is an excellent market timing and analysis tool. However, it is one of many. Supply and demand trading is not the only timing tool nor is it even the best because there is really no way of judging what is the best tool. It really is a pointless exercise to even try in my view.

I hear a lot and frequently from traders who come to supply and demand trading after trying other methodologies, using indicators etc. There is a palpable dislike, almost hatred that develops for indicators. The traders insist indicators don’t work and that once they found supply and demand trading, they firmly believed it was the best methodology for them and as close to the holy grail as it gets.

This view has always scared and worried me frankly, because it is often no long before the same trader starts saying the same about supply and demand trading, once those losses occur and heaven forbid, they occur back to back!

I want to be clear fellow traders, Supply and demand trading is not a religion.

It is not a methodology that is against the use of indicators. It is not a methodology that prevents or works against the use of indicators.

What it is, is a market timing mechanism that allows practitioners to time entries into and exits out of markets with a high degree of accuracy, high probability and allows for the easy assessment of risk for the traders.

Notice that summary does not say anything at all about win rate. That is because that statistic has everything to do with the trader and not the methodology he or she is using. I know traders who use classical chart patterns, make a lot of money and have a 40-45% win rate. That means about 6 of every 10 trades those traders make is a loss.

I know supply and demand traders with a 60-65% win rate who don’t make as much as they should because their risk management is not so good and they end up risking way too much on certain trades which end up being losing trades and much less on those trades that end up being winning trades.

Once again, it is very important every trader learns and sticks to what works for them. Finding what works will be a process of trial and error. No knowledge is yours. A knowledge of indicators can enhance the supply and demand traders market timing skills quite a lot. I speak from my own experience and the experience of my mentors. I have worked with supply and demand traders who successfully use indicators to analyse markets along with their knowledge of supply and demand to make profitable trades.

They have not committed any sin nor any crime in suing indicators. They ongoing repeated narrative against indicators is only useful if the trader is not willing to look to him or herself as the real reason why trading is proving difficult. It is not usually the methodology but often the trader that has the issue.

So in summary, if you are a supply and demand trader, try not to let anything or anyone make you feel any less of a practitioner of the methodology for using indicators. You use what you find useful, including your knowledge of indicators, good and bad.

As Sun Tzu said in his epic book on strategy, the Art of War, about his very own advice on strategy,
“While heeding the profit of my counsel, avail yourself also of any helpful circumstances over and beyond the ordinary rules”.

No knowledge is lost. Use all you know and have to get what you want
