I don't believe HM60 is a good filter for swings on 60m TF, HM is essentially a trending filter which in many cases will not support a swing point on the same time frame. If you want HM as a support for a swing then a lower TF may be better like HM15.

Here are a couple of Cycle Trader results running 1/2/3/0 on M15 and H1 in parallel today with quite different outcomes in P/L and DD.

Have a great Easter everyone!
I will be keeping my setup open for trading over Easter.
Generally volumes are low but volatility can be high which is what the Cycle TS needs, as opposed to some of the trending moves that are happening.
My setup is in DD but still in nice profit for the week if I was to close it all down but that defeats the purpose of stress testing it.
In my screenshot you can see an overlay of the Basket Equity / Stats screens. This has occurred on all version of the DB and I normally manage to get rid of the stats screen prior to activating the Equity screen but this time the objects are stuck on the chart and I cannot get rid of them. Will do a reset on the weekend when the market is closed.

Still in the red and did not recover during the US session.

The 300++ DD is manageable for the 50K demo account.

I think the lesson here is we need to be aware of our lot sizes, that is, if we have a small account, we need to keep our lot sizes small.
That way if the cycle is not in our favor yet, we dont blow our account.
All systems go thru cycles.

Here are some trades from last night from the previous post, some could have made more pips but I shut it down before they would have.

Remember the cycle points repaint so would have looked different when trade was taken.

Great result and on 15m time frame, although it did have a lot of trades open (100). I have not had much success with time frames less than 1hr with DB+TS's, it appears I may have to re-consider the lower time frames with the Cycle TS, maybe with a smaller group of pairs say EUR+GBP pairs only.

Great stuff Gene also getting more success with M15 per above. Interested to see how far your DD has reached in your tests so far on this timeframe or where we could set Basket SL in relation to Basket TP of 500 or 1000 pips whilst allowing sufficient room. Thanks

Hi marko76 seems you've also had some great successes from Cycle Trader on M15 well done. Also interested to know if you did any further work with this setup or had any thoughts on the Basket SL and TP so far. Cheers

I agree, I think it's the same one that showed good profit and then dived. This demonstrates my point of taking profits on a regular basis and not leave your trading overexposed to the market with high number of Marty Add-ons.

Hi blamshakk hope I read the setup right and marko76 can perhaps confirm nevertheless as with all S9 setups experienced last few months there are winning and losing days but equally important in my opinion is where to draw basket SL and TP as almost all setups will nosedive at some point. Hence my question re Cycle Trader on M15 as it looks promising but in need of further testing and collaborative results to determine our targets and increasing win loss ratio. Cheers

Hello all
In consolidations, the system would work perfectly, but as the pair enters a larger trend, it becomes uninteresting.
Currently, it looks like this, which is not too interesting - the result of this is the entry of pairs into the trend which resulted in such a high Max DD. It seems to me that a TP and SL basket should be set for each day to avoid such bad results. I will try to get out of the current situation in the following way - on a pair where there is a large DD on the M15 will change TF to H4 and wait for signal distortion. This will allow you to swap loss positions into profitable, but it will take much longer.

Same here. I have not gotten successful results with lower TF on any of the TS.
But let me try it on Cycle TS.

This started on yesterday's asian market open.
