Smart Volume Divergence!

Looks like hidden divergence also works!

Just add some discretion with this type of divergence. In reality the normal signal its a kind of Hidden divergence in a sense that it sign the continuation of the trend as a normal hidden divergence like the RSI one do.

CAUTION:

Each forex chop shop, I mean, "retail forex broker" is showing different ("fake") volumes.
I just saw this first hand this morning. I use a demo account at FXpro to run the dashboard.
Then I make the trades on my live account on Tradersway.

Got a nice signal (GBPCAD-5Min) on FXpro, but when I went to Tradersway... NOT a valid signal.

Yes. I think about it like this...

Volume leads price. These volume divergence instances are when price is moving abnormally against volume.

Example:
During a down trend, if price quickly rises above its 50ema, but OBV is still way below its 50ema, then volume is not supporting the temporary price increase.
Price "should" fall back below the 50ema because there was no sharp increase in volume to support the rise.

So, I am also under the impression that "hidden divergence" is not really applicable.
Price shouldn't lead volume.

i am using renko offline chart at M2 i apply your uploaded template .
so this is your method to apply these on offline charts ?
i apply your template the method you told regarding where to buy and sell its opposite on renko .!

AUDJPY 5-min.

Price 3ema rose above 50ema.
Volume 3ema is way below the 50ema.

Price should fall...

Hey guys i cannot Post some pictures nur in the end for my Money Management gbpusd webt in tp2 and and euraud got 50% at 1:1 Level and zehn breakeven out.
So far it Looks good but i also realized that there are different results in different Brokers.

Hello Bamboopips, i got reference to this thread today. Thanks for sharing your strategy. I'm yet to fully study and understand it wholly. May be too early to ask, does the strategy support candlestick charts and other oscillators like RSI & MACD?

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1) As I said in the beggining, this system is best design to work in a enviroment where we can get real data volume, like stocks and future markets, because it have OBV as main indicator, and anyone that knows how OBV works will now that in the Forex market, with tick volume, and decentralized market, the indicator can`t delivery its best performance. But as I say, you can still use the system with tick charts and get very good results. Just try to use a good ECN broker and stay away of brokers with fix spread. This way you`ll still get many good signals a week. But still use you own discretion to select the best ones and you will be fine.

2) As it`s a Volume Divergence System, you can`t use RSI, MACD or other oscilators, but can use Acumulation/Distribution, since he differ only details in the calculation formula from OBV. In reallity in my daytrading, I use the Moving Average in boths to add another layer of confirmation to the signal. If I get the divergence in this two, the signal have a High Probability of work. But I present the version only with OBV to facilitate the development of indicators or EAs to help us trading this. And because only with OBV we get excelent signals too.

3) Still waiting if someone could code something to MT5 where we can get access to real data volume in the stocks and future markets to have the best potential of the system, that works even better with renko charts using real volume data.

4) You can use Any trigguer you want to enter the trade, PinBar, Engulfing, S/R, 200 EMA, etc... Just confirm if the conditions still valid and you are good to go. I use the Heiken ashi to facilitate and make the entry more mechanic. But you can use your own discretion.

5) Thanks Crodzilla for making the indicator to us, because even with diferent signals if we compare the diferents brokers in the markets. If we use a good broker data we still can get very good results using to trade Forex and other markets in MT4.

I just downloaded MT5 through XM. And tried setting REAL volume with the OBV indicator.
It shows nothing, on futures, CFD's, indexes.

Who is going to provide REAL volume data for the futures, CFD's and indexes?

Here in Brazil I use not a Forex broker, but a broker that operates only in Brazilian Stock Exchange and they provide MT5 as a options to trade and with real volume data.
So if you want real volume with the usa stocks you will need to open a account with a broker that provide access to them and not only the CFD.

But if you want to use a Forex broker and CFD, you can try Activtrade that has a really small fee (one dollar I think) to provide the real data of the instruments to MT5!

Ok, cool. I was wondering if I was missing something.
I am interested in using for stocks/indexes and futures, so I will use Amibroker to scan all stocks.
