this is v2 now that i started yesterday. its in red. interesting to see if this will recover. i am not worried about the red CHF pairs because i dont usually trade them. if i will do a rescue attempt, it will be on the GC. {image}
An alternative that is a bit more conservative is to disable the Marty part of the Add-on.

I definitely agree after watching and experiencing it on a live account over the last couple of days. Its a hard slog coming back from large DD with a large number of trade open. I experienced this first hand on my live account last night (Pic Attached).
Basically you will see right at the beginning there there was a DD of $352+. I was making some changes on my phone thorough my remote desktop and accidentally reset the graph so started it again. Then as luck would have it, my daughter grabbed my phone and and activated the SL which was set to $350.00 so all the trades were closed. I was lucky to get hold of the big NZD move, closed a couple of baskets which took be back to +$36.97. From there it wasn't to far off my $125.00 EL and then went into DD of over $288 which then slowly recovered to be +$30.00 or so. At that point I should have closed down because if you look at the number of open trades it was 94! From there (not shown in pic) it wasn't a very big move at all but it plummeted to -$300.00 by the time I shut it down as didn't want to leave it throughout the night and was happy to take the loss and restart. I had a second live account trading and had picked up about $500 on that so was still up for the day. I also didn't have Marty turned on so was only 0.02 trades as the add-on's.
I am playing with some demo accounts also and trying out larger lot sizes but with smaller EL to see if it can scalp baskets and then reset. My theory in that is to limit the time the larger number of trades are exposed to the market because as you say and as I saw it doesn't take much for it to do a 180 and go into deep DD with a long road to recovery.
My second account recovered as did the first however I shut it down once it was just about back at break even to conserve the $500+ profit for the day which I was more than happy about and then left the 1st account running to see how it played out until I shut it down with its DD. Second account had 74+ Trades also so definitely at risk of DD if I had left it.
As a whole Cycle and Swing are a good combo and im sure with all the test that are going on that we can build up some statistics around the best kinds of setups or combinations of setups. I'm heading towards having possibly 3 live accounts running Cycle but with different configurations and possibly lower lot sizes and risk settings with the idea that when one type of setup isnt doing so well the other two can hopefully prop it up. Yes you might miss out on some of the Large profits that can be seen but hopefully that also comes with less risk and lower DD's too.
