Disliked{quote} H1 always work better than M15 or M5, Yes there will be losing trades but most of trades will hit TP. I will test H1 next month.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks Fareed, tried the scripts but still no joy with Oanda. If I use those scripts is it pulling Oanda data down or MT4 data? I also use Pepperstone which seem to have better spreads, which broker do you find the best for blessing?Ignored
DislikedDon't forget there was a whole team of folks that contributed to Blessing. Some before JTA even got involved.Ignored
DislikedI was convinced that third party data was reliable to test EA but I was wrong. Following the advice by Roger, I tried to backtest using TDS with 99.90 modeling quality and data from my broker (IC Market) with much lower modeling quality: very much different results in terms of everything (profitability, n. trades, etc.). So there is not point to buy third party data, which might not work with your broker's historical and live data. Now I'm very confuse, how we can test EAs in a reliable manner? Please any advise.Ignored

Dislikedwhen "UseAnyEntry" is "True", it means for openning a position the EA uses all indicators for best entry?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes. I think, originally it took a long time to optimize Blessing because they were using ticks and because they thought you needed to use big chunks (years) of history. My guess. So they didn't really optimize individual indicators much. Notice that indicator settings are in the section of the set file below where it says: "Advanced Settings Change sparingly". If you're going to stick with 50% or 60% MaxDDPercent then maybe that's okay. It does work. But if you want best performance (and lower MaxDD) you really need to choose the indicators...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks a lot for sharing your experience richard. but i should remind you i'm a newbie in trading. it's a long and rough road for me. at first i need to know indicators and then try different setups. i'm sure i'll get surprising result. no pain no gain. Disliked{quote} Oanda is my least favorite broker. You can get more data by collecting it over time. I think those scripts were meant to open all the charts so that you start receiving data for all the currency pairs, so you can collect it. Higher timeframes have more data, of course. H1 should have plenty of data to start. Oanda does have a bug effecting Blessing. I've only seen it happen once, but have heard of others seeing it too. Oanda sometimes changes the trade magic number to zero. Blessing only looks at trades with it's magic number, so that trade...Ignored
DislikedOptimisation, playing with indicator parameters simply leads to over optimisation and too optimistic results when your lucky settings let's you avoid big market movements without retracement. It would not work in real trading. Solution to get through big one directional market moves is to execute hedging or SL. There are two problems to solve. In case with SL, earnings should grow fast to recoup loss before another loss occurs. In case with Hedging, sometimes hedged trades are closed with loss and EA has to wait to bigger retracement moves to recoup...Ignored
