This MM is flexible. But if you have slower cycle you must adapt it. For example current TE is using new setup with a slow cycle. Then it can be used without any problem in other systems. I dont think you need use manual ( so tedious for tests ).

While your system can maintain low extreme trades ( trades at end of wave ) its right for work with success with this MM. Auto system are fast in/out by nature ( even slowest )

Agree. Still, we would like to compare some features and I will do my best that we will be able to do just that.
Nothing is perfect but IMHO this is one of the best MMs I have seen so far. And you explained it very good .

Just as an example- some days are just perfect for Stack MM like on mondays because there is not much probability that one trade will run away in bigger red. So I used your MM today on one of my live accounts with cleaning up right away. This means when the profit is twice bigger then loss I closed all. Managed to get away with decent pips for a start of the week without carrying over.

Since Mondays are perfect for this kind of MM I will have to think more about how to use it tomorrow when fresh trends might start... will keep you updated if any idea comes up. But if nothing else I will use it next monday once again without any fear.

You have steel balls if you use it without check first how works in your side in demo account. But its good

I didn't use your entry methods, just MM so no balls LOL. I told you that you explained how to use such MM very good so no need demo test if trades are all closed the same day. Carrying over and holding longer is another story and for that I will use demo ( possible exposure problem- % time in trade measure).

Adapted Stack MM progres:

So my idea of adapted MM is let all the trades run with wide SL BUT cleaning up red trades- minimizing exposure together with profitable trades. This way I will not be stacking red trades forever and my number of open trades will be lower then with original stacking.

Example of trades closed today- winning trades PL is cca double then the red trades as often as possible ( beside lot size variation based on daily range in pips - also cca value):

The goal is minimizing account lot size exposure ( number of open trades) and even minimizing max account DD further which might maybe lead to possible higher starting lot size... we'll see.

I have a few tests with different SL size but at least in my system if I dont keep breakout bad trades some time, they make me big loss not compensated by current profit. But it depend system behavior. Mine opens at consolidation areas and its always exposed to fast movements then I'm forced to keep stack with bad trades

Anyway looks good your side. Its always preferred keep DD low ( stack low used ) if is possible

no matter what the entries are you could still try to do something similar....but it could be a problem to do this if you are using trailling stop. I'm only using BE+ SL after 50 pips ( 20 pips green SL placed at 50 pips in green) otherwise trailling stop stops out too many good trades and the number of good trades to close one bad can grow up to 20 or more which is not acceptable because waiting time is too long. So imho it doesn't depend on trading method completly...

AT the same time I should mention you have additional small finetune to make. GN can move 250 pip on a normal day while EG only 50 pips ( daily average) so if you use same lot size they are not hedging each other. Imho you should leave GN, GA, GJ etc lot sizes as they are and make other pairs like EU, EG, AU, AC, NC etc lot size higher to match up daily possible PL on an average day cca the same. This you should also try on separate demo so you'll be able to compare after couple of months...

My exits are a mix TM + pivots but while i dont have tool for discard exits by time I dont have satisfactory bad exits. About bold comment i agree fully. That is reason i created a blocked area with EAX Pips option. For avoid fake closes near trade open.

About use different lot size can be interesting ( pipflak like this idea too ) but at least for full auto i will need a tool for avoid pass max lot size. Really while your max exposure don't pass a reasonable account limit DD effect is low. I use fixed lot for that reason. Its easy set max lot allowed ( and calculate risk too )

You are right but i still don't have tools for advanced control of some taskes. I have a lot of work for next months But its a good idea adapt size to adr movement. Its true now some trades are unbalanced about risk

If there is no bug in your EA ( the loop to open too many trades at once ) you don't really need max lot size. What you need is max trades per pair. As far as I could notice you are using max 2 open trades per pair at once. There you go, you have it already. This way you cannot overload the account. It is just that you should equal up the PL value. While GN with max 2 trades on an avergae day can produce $50 loss ( 0.01 lot X 250 X 2 average daily pips is cca $50 - a bit less but just as an example) your ACad green can produce only $10 ( cca again : 0.01 X 50 pips X2). So if max trades on Acad is 2 you could easily trade 0.03 lot on Acad and your exposure will be more balanced even if you are using a bit higher lot size then originaly planned.

Not that you have to precisely level up $ values on average day, but as you are trading now you are really far away from it . On a good day you gain, on a bad day you lose, but this means that your all time max DD is higher then it should be if pairs would be more balanced.

And here is the imbalance that your trades create and again you are waiting too long for green trades to cover loss trades.

Really i use pips as measure because this disable lot size side effect. If you earn avg X pips per trade then lot size only decide how much risk you want use. About max trades i only use 1 per pair. If i have 2 trades some times is because i use 2 setups with small differences for get more info

Today we will see how calculate non recoverable trades edge. We start with trade age limit

You have 2 ways to do it:

1) Precision: You take all trades above 1 week and you calculate average since account start. At least 2 months length and you can cap max age trades to 2 months
2} Fast. You get oldest trade or you cap oldest to 2 months if is older

We will use second option for do it easier. Oldest now is 6 weeks:

1) ( 42 days ( 6 week oldest trade ) + 7 days ( 1 week ) ) / 2 = 24 days is time edge
2) ( 24 + 3 days ( half week ) ) / 2 = 13 days
3) ( 24 + 13 ) / 2 = 18 days

All values are floor rounded

Why i use 2 months as optional max age and 1 week as minimum?

Its simple. We want a reasonable time for can fill a wave cycle as minimum but not so long for swaps kill profit if is negative. 1 week is more arbitrary but personally I take as natural trade cycle 1 week as maximum. With that edges I split time in 2 areas

1) Fast area( below 1 week )
2) Slow area ( above 1 week )

Formula only takes a weighted average of both areas for soft better the edge. Next post how calculate pips edge

Thanks this helps now I can start working on my spreadsheet.
Is this finalized or are you just throwing this out for discussion? As I just started doing this stack MM thing I have no idea if this will work or not.

Its only exit strategy start. I'm slightly busy with an experimental system exits are not working well

Great, so you do get it in the end, you can translate in normal english then because that sounded like a rocket science.
