Hi all

Im having a weird problem. I have "hacked" a MQL file from a thread to import 15 mins data to a csv file. The code compiles. When i try to load it as an EX4 it complains that it is not an Expert. When i try to load it as an indicator it complains it is an Expert. Ive been banging my head against the wall and trying to read up but cant get my head around it

Any suggestions please ?

This is script. Put this mq4 file into MQL4\Scripts folder, compile and run.

Yes i did that and it ran as an indicator. I didnt try as an ea.

Sorry to be an idiot Beer - i put the ex4 onto a chart and it doesnt seem to send the updated data - it worked once when i loaded it (all i did was remove the line as above and added a few other currencies)

Any chance when you are free if you could take a look please ?

This is similar to what im looking for - does this indicator run on all symbols and automatically download them to one CSV file every hour ?

Its just run once and doesnt run again

I just made it work, I’m not sure exactly what it can do. It will operate on the symbols you enter into the inputs but I don’t know about the time question; I didn’t test it long enough to find out. However it looks like it was coded to continuously operate. You could try removing the show_inputs line and running it as an EA.

Ah thanks - maybe it was something i did but it just ran once and then no further downloads

This one will send the symbol data every 15 minutes. Run it as a script.

Go to modify sourcefile and then save it.
