Right, whats going on this morning?!
havent had a chance to study my charts....stuck on the useless london underground for almost 2 hours trying to get to work! Joy!
im playing catch up....and i dont like it!

thinking shorting GU from somewhere higher.....undecided on eur, as below the weekly average, but Digs etc think it might be going up.......confused! Gold has had a good drop during the night....maybe time for a buy unless it follows through and the levels fold like a pack of dominoes!

then if one invests a little back in their business ,, the equipment gets a little better ,, a few more options which make the bottom line a bit better and the returns a bit better at times except when I post a lot lol or trade from my damn phone,, but the reasons or levels never change ,,,,same shit ,,different day

We had the privilege of having former Fed chair Janet Yellen speak at our Asia Financial Conference in HK. At the conference, she addressed 2 key topics:

Topic: Is last week's inversion of certain parts of the yield curve a precursor to a recession?
- “My own answer is no, I don’t see it as a signal of recession."

- “In contrast to times past, there’s a tendency now for the yield curve to be very flat,” adding that it’s now easier for it to invert.

- “And in fact it might signal that the Fed would at some point need to cut rates, but it certainly doesn’t signal that this is a set of developments that would necessarily cause a recession."


Q: Are we likely to see a recession very soon?
- She doesn’t see a recession as “particularly likely” though she did stress that the U.S. economy is indeed slowing.

- " The economy expanded 3.1% last year but the Fed’s most recent outlook is for growth of 2.1% this year, which Yellen said is close to potential.

- “So that’s not a dangerous situation,” she said. “So, yes, growth is slowing, but I don’t see it slowing to a level that will cause a recession.”

Yep. Just thought someone might be interested in reading. End of the day, if the market moves the other way some analyst at Bloomberg or cnbc will come up with some crap to justify/‘explain’ the move.
