ULTRON_PDV_105

Updates:

  1. Startup messages are now output to the log.
  2. Improved some startup check messages.
  3. Improved the efficiency of the info panel.
  4. Added trade statistics to info panel.
  5. Detect the cycle on startup if using progressive lot sizes.
  6. Allow for starting cycle at a specific point.
  7. Amended the logic for the retrace feature to improve profitability.

If you leave the broker offset as zero, you are now prompted when starting the EA to ensure that you mean to do this, as most brokers are not on GMT time.

The Retrace Exit feature is now on by default, and you specify the percentage of the stop loss you are prepared to allow the price to retrace before triggering the retrace exit. Once triggered, the TP is moved to the 50MA, and the trade will either hit the SL (for a full loss) or the TP (for a partial loss).

This update improves the profitability and drawdown as shown below:

As you can see, the profitability is increased slightly, and the average loss is greatly reduced, resulting in a lower drawdown.

Question for PAUL DV:

I don't have tick data, so I tested at 90% with no errors. I duplicated all the settings on your PDV_105 EA and got the following:

Total Net Profit: $1487 vs. your $18,989
PF: 2.61 vs. your 11.95

I know 90% modeling isn't ideal, but how can the discrepancies be this great?

No those are for template to see what Paul has setup. they are not needed for EA.

90% data has too many mismatch errors. cant rely on it at all.

Now 2 variables- one open price is based on volume. so ticks matter. second closure there is retrace based on MA50. so again ticks play big role.

Thanks Veter, but we're all using 105 now. Also, I recommend using tick data in order to get 99.9% quality modelling - 90% isn't accurate enough unfortunately.

Hate to say it,but,this is curve fitting . Its like driving looking in the rear view mirror)) i know it looks great in hind sight. Markets constantly change. What worked well before somehow goes to hell as soon as you put real money on the line
