Added some more this morning:

HDB Apr19 115 PUT @ $2.55, which brings the average down to $3.05

Still looks good on the charts, but low volume today (which is why I couldn't get it even cheaper). Even with the low volume, the drop coming up should give a good profit with a delta of ~$0.54 as it stands now. 5EMA is ~$112.25 and the 10EMA is just under $110. With price about $114 now, I would expect to be able to sell at a profit of $1-$3/share......

Out of the following:

GDOT Apr19 60 CALL @ $3.20 up from $1.75

Was in the process of raising my bid when it got hit, and I was bummed because it was still going up, but then 5 minutes later the stock turned around and dropped as fast as it went up, so it actually turned out for the best and I was happy again....

That's one thing about trading a lot: if you aren't bi-polar when you start your trading adventure, you'll be quad-polar by the time you're done!!

{quote} Thx MM, quite a strong rejection from 370 level on NFLX on a tight BB. There's a lot of support below 350 level but the chart is looking like it wants to retest that level so I took a 350 put for $1.11 earlier only for this Fridays exp 22 March. Kind of a lotto trade so not to much risk as we have FOMC this week which may affect any kind of hard trade. NFLX Mar 2019 350.000 put OPR - OPR Delayed price. Amzn really strong since early march and its bull breakout past 1700, a small retrace would be nice but don't know if it will happen, so a little while ago I bought some calls in the stock $1900 call price for 5th April expiry a little over 2 weeks, it may never reach 1900 but even if it gets 1850 by next week the option should move well to hit me with some profits. I was in a $5.45 and have a mental stop for now at just under $3 should it move against me, i will change accordingly to market conditions.

AMZN is trading at $1803 and change atm

Well, I upgraded to a newer version of my charting program last Thursday. The end of last year I had an issue doing this because it changed all my indicators to default values, so I was ready in case that happened this time. It didn't. because some .DLL files were corrupted and I couldn't even open the program! The tech guys were really helpful, but the end results was a complete uninstall and reinstall. Fixed the problem easily enough but I have spent since Friday evening reloading all of the stocks I was watching and setting up all my charts, which is a big pain. Luckily, I had the foresight to make a copy of all my lists before I upgraded, or it would take me another couple of days. I should be done tonight and I'll see if there is something worth getting into (provided I get finished and the charts vetted before it gets too late).

Something to think about: Always assume a total failure will occur when upgrading a program and
-- do all you charting upgrades during the week so that you can call tech support if needed, and
-- take screenshots and print out anything you may to get back up and running. Backing up something to another hard drive won't do you any good if you need the base program to get into the backup.

About the only one worth looking at in the morning is:

SJM Apr19 115 PUT @ $2.00 or better

And if it gaps down, I wouldn't bother with it. But if it opens at the same price or a little higher, it should be good for some quick money...

Out of:

PLNT Apr19 67.5 PUT @ $1.95 up from $1.625

Not a killer amount, but money in the bank. Price is butting up against the convergence of the 10EMA and mid-BB (~$66.75), so a good time to exit. It probably has some more down side left if it can penetrate the mid-BB, but it is okay to leave money on the table....just go to the next trade.....

..I pretty much get by with the free charts on Yahoo Finance any more, occasionally use the ones on ToS.

I'm looking for that spoos breakout, made an attempt over 2825 to 2850 for a few days mid-March but couldn't get a grip, watching the 10yr crater, yield seeking pigs should pick up the equity rally to new ath's into Q2. Trying to leg into some spreads, bot SPX 4/10 2900 calls for $1.90 today....will sell the same day 2905 calls for >$2.00 if the tickup gets legs thru the week...

Now, here is something interesting I ran across and I want to see how this plays out. I believe I know (technical analysis wins), but we will see. I will not make an actual trade, but just a paper trade, because I am going to use this as a Theory-to-Practice test, basically seeing if stock "gurus" really know what they are talking about or just talk because that is what they are paid to do. I will follow the stock first thing and find a current Ask price and log that as the purchase of one of these, whichever is the best deal. The stock/option in question is:

TDOC Apr19 50 CALL @ $3.10 or less, or
TDOC Apr19 55 CALL @ $1.10 or less

Based on what the market does in the morning (most likely opening lower), either of these should be able to be purchased at cheaper prices. Technical analysis shows the stock is due for a bounce up. However, a Forbes article at the beginning of the week questioning the use of an EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) as it's main metric of the health of the business, dropped the stock price ~20%. Now, the EBITDA is used frequently in privately owned companies to show a company's true performance as it helps to compare apples to apples during the sale of a business. But lots of people don't like it for different reasons. Even Warren Buffet doesn't like it! This guy writing in Forbes obviously doesn't and a few other articles from others piggybacking off the Forbes article restate the same. Matter of fact, the guy with the Forbes article expects an 82% drop in price down to ~$11/share.

Now, I trust my charts, earnings, and major company news a lot more than I trust a financial analyst, so I want to put it to the test. Since my charts are saying it is due for a bounce in the next few days, I believe I will make money on a Call option when the guy that has the power with just his opinion to drop the price of the stock simply by saying it shouldn't even be at that price it is now. Now, the TDOC chart is still a couple of days from showing a great trade, but trading has been really boring this week and this will be something to do, since there are no stocks showing extremely overbought/oversold for tomorrow.

Stay tuned to see who is right...….(cue suspenseful music....)

OK, got a spike up this morning because of the spike in the DJIA, which means probably a down day tomorrow for TDOC. But we will go ahead and show a trade from the open of:

TDOC Apr19 55 CALL @ $1.30

Well, the spike up today skewed the chart a little, so with the price close to butting up against the 5EMA, even though there is still some more upside available, we will call the trade over at the last traded price:

TDOC Apr19 55 CALL @ $2.10 up from $1.30

I kind of expected this trade to last a couple of days, but even with the big spike up this morning, it was still a pretty profitable trade (roughly 62% return)...going in the OPPOSITE direction of where many of the financial braniacs said it should be heading. Just goes to show that you shouldn't just trade off of analysts' comments, but need to do your own research into a trade.

Like I said earlier, I trust my charts, earnings, and major company news a lot more than I trust a financial analyst, and this is an example of why....

TDOC Apr19 CALL up to $3.30 today, btw.....makes you wonder what the guy who wrote the Forbes article thinks about that?.....

Anyway, back into:

HDB Apr19 115 PUT @ $1.75....should be good for some money, maybe even better than the last time....

I just noticed I didn't show the end of the other HDB trade I got out of on 3-25:

Out of HDB Apr19 115 PUT @ $3.80 up from average of $3.05

Not a killer amount but I had a decent number of contracts, so good money.....

So right now, all I have is the WES May17 30/35 CALLS, the HDB Apr19 115 PUT, and SJM Apr19 115 PUT. Hopefully, this big up day will trigger some overbought trades for next week...
