ive just had two more orders triggered after being stopped out im thinking of taking the EA out for now as ive had some heavy losses recently

Ultron triggered Sell trade in all three versions @1.3219+. Finger cross!!!

firstly, in the original version 6 and 21, in LITE_3 version 8 and 23 because this is for GMT + 2,
secondly, the essence of the time setting comes down to one thing:
The start hour is the opening time of the European session,
the finish hour is the closing time of the American session.
Everything else you are already changing, you select only for yourself, as you see fit.

Could you conduct the same tests over the years with the settings:
trailingStop - 30,
trailingStep -2,
and
trailingStop - 23,
trailingStep -2,

It is interesting to see how strongly trail settings affect long-term trading.

Yes, I guess EA need filter to avoid open buy on 1 hour supply zones (resistance) and avoid sell trades on 1 hour demand zones (supply).
all those past 3 negative trades opened near those zones.

23 and 2 gives the greatest number of continuous wins, but the profit is not very high,
30 and 2 gives fewer victories in a row, but the profit is slightly higher,

1. 23 and 2,
2. 30 and 2,
3. 41 and 12

Im taking this Ea out of live trading for time being its eaten through 75% of recent profit gained, love the effort in coding etc but GU is too unstable at the mo

My trade from last friday,..BUY,..still running,.in the monent - 63 pips,.overall i still in profit it ultron,..4 winning trades ,..220 pips profit.

Actually, that looks more like a resistance turn support level as price seems to be testing that level for the 3rd time now and operating within that range since 13th March (the 2nd time it tested that level we had a loss for those using TStop of >40). If that level holds, price is likely going back 1.3290 level unless if the 1.3320 level gets broken wherein we probably would expect a breakout in the direction of the present open order.

Fingers crossed though.

Your suggestion is great but having the EA trade S/R zones will be very demanding in my opinion.

US$ consolidated today.
BANKS/SWINGERS Take profit for their majors Daily BUY trades, which means US$ was purchased.
Swingers entered US$ BUY trades against majors including GBP therefore Ultron opened GBPUSD SELL trade.
But prices quickly retract due to US$ was sold somewhere in the world. So far unknown source sold US$ and day traders' SL were hit.

EA can't keep up with current affairs therefore they fail in certain market conditions. Best is to switch off EA in consolidation area or use trailing-sl to secure green pips in each trade.

Couldn't agree more.
If Ultron is designed to run with the trend then we shouldn't expect it to do so great when the market consolidates. The Friday Buy trade that lost on Monday was at a resistance level hence it would've been wise to closeout the trade before the market closed - good instincts to those who did. The Sell trade that lost on Tuesday made a significant pin bar at a key support level so those with some PA skills would have gotten out early but at least we had the TS to keep us in the green. The present open Sell trade just made a key engulfing pattern at the support level - though still with a bounce - so I'm still bearish on this one in the short term if the level continues to hold i'm out. But if it breaks at candle close I'll let the trade run. My suggestion is to stick with PaulDV version's default for now until a breakout from the range happens and a new trend begins then you can up the TS if you like.

While EAs are actually designed with the intention to run hands-free I think to get the best out of them one should also study their actions and the market sentiments.
The poor results of 2016 and back could be due to market behaviour that wasn't suitable for Ultron at the time so we cannot just say the EA ain't profitable long term.
