UK Spread Betting Brokers

Same question, any reference or answer? Really appreciate.

Any differences would have to be minimal of course, otherwise the provider would be open to arbitrage trades.

In the same way that CFD and spread betting companies make their own prices, although they are often different from the underlying market, they can't be too different or again there would be arbitrage opportunities.

I think there are pros and cons to spread betting over CFDs, but any increased cost due to marginally bigger spreads would be more than balanced out by profits being tax-free. Especially for traders in the 40% tax bracket.

I'm new to this forum and have started spread betting for some time.

Anyone from UK using IC Markets Raw Spread or RoboForex ECN accounts? Been doing some research but still don't get a clear idea whether they classified as Spread Betting?

Both two types of accounts have tight spreads and charge commissions per lot.

Don't think we are obliged to use a "Spread Betting" advertised account from non-ESMA brokers? I have seen quite a number of people from UK using IC Markets SC or AU for Spread Betting purpose.

Just not sure if the "Raw Spread" accounts still meet the definition of Spread Betting as they charge commissions, but I am quite certain that the "Standard" accounts without commissions are fine?

I actually used the services of IG broker for a while, however I have really been dissapointed in them recently. I am really addicted to sports like football, tennis, basketball and hockey so I am placing a lot of bets, so I have got a great experience with spread betting brokers. However, during the lockdown, I actually decided to stop using their services for a while, and I was only betting on https://fi.vikingslots.com/promotions/ as they are having a really great betting feature, and in general it might just be one of the best gambling platforms that I have ever played on.

I tried Genesis11, do not use them, they are a scam. They are all over you at first but when it comes to withdrawing, thats a different story. Suddenly its all gone quiet.
