MA_Bbands_v4.1 is a trend and no repainting indicator.

It is indeed very useful and do not repaint. It will be great if someone could create an EA with multiple entries on the arrows (same lot size) in a kind of averaging (not martingale) way. It could bring money...

the hardest thing is optimization, find the best set to get the unlimited version

Are you 100% it does NOT repaint? And all the signals happen in realtime?? Would you bet your account on it?

Thanks mate, I believe you. I hope you can understand my scepticism, for every 1000 "no repaint" indicators on the internet there might be 5 that are useful.

Do the signals come in real time, and are not delayed?

guys...for what I can check in my EA in the tester...it doesnŽt repaint. Let wait until the market opens and youŽll see 100%. Not so difficult I think.

Im still a bit sceptical, on closer viewing in my MT4 platform the indicator seems to pick the tops and bottoms pretty well, and almost every signal is a winner. Usually a sign it either repaints, or the signal comes late, effectively back-painting the signals. I will test in real time when the markets open. I hope I am wrong, unless anyone can show me some solid results?

Did some checking on my charts. Some of the signals are early and will likely result in stop-outs. A lot of signals look almost too good to be true. The ones outside the bands appear to be the best. Demo-trading will reveal the truth behind this indy.

guys make your conclusions on monday, here a quick test with USDCAD, probably not the best pair. The biggest problem here will be to find the right settings as dicojoxaftr was saying. There are plenty of possibilities, I am not sure still about many things. This test was made with 0,01 max 30 open orders, close by signal false. IŽll try all possible possibilities and let see. You can check the indicator in realtime in tester too....you just need an EA able to do that. I canŽt see anything wrong, but I am NOT trying to sell you anything....just to make a couple of bucks. If we can talk here fine, otherwise IŽll make myself.

Johnsun888, What I am about to say is in NO WAY an effort to derail or interfere with your thread. I saw your thread & the indicator posted with it MA_BBands_v4.1



& out of curiosity decided to apply it to one of my charts that already had the Bollinger Bands applied @24, 0, Div 2, Median Price(HL/2) on the 15M tf on NZD/USD.

Now what I see looks pretty good, but I may be wrong. Take a look & see what your thoughts are & anyone else following this thread. Have the Bollinger Bands in red so as to better see their actions with your indicator. Notice what happens when to red Bollingers come outside of the Bands of your indicator & the arrows are present at the time of the Bollingers coming outside of the indicators bands. Maybe to good to be true. This is not my style of trading, but I am always looking at what others are doing in the hope of learning from others. Just thought I would share what I see, but not trying to interfere. Best wishes for you & your thread.

sadly it is not too good to be true and it will be hard to make money from this EA. There are also some bugs, SL/TP do not work properly.

I've been running it through the tester and it works fine if you use the TS. Results have been pretty good, also. Based on my settings, DD has been running between 10-20%, which is not too bad. Will it work going forward? Don't know - we'll have to see.

Happy to hear that. I’m very conservative with this kind of EAs, so I try to limit the DD even if I have to limit the profits. I’ll check more tomorrow, i got some good results also on 4H.

I may have spoken too soon. It did fine with usdcad in 2018. When I started the test in 2017, it got "stuck" and went into big DD. The EA also appears to be very sensitive to what pair it's running on and doesn't get along well with eurusd, etc.
