that's all manual import. with journalytix..it connects directly to CQG so i don't have to do anything. i just let it run in the background in vps.

Any of you guys trading the ES? I haven't looked at it in a year. The YM and NQ move great. Looking at the ES chart though, we are at a pop or drop level and I see us popping and going up a lot more tomorrow and possibly Friday towards 2900. We may get slammed down overnight too though...

And I wish I would have traded NQ today instead of YM lol.

Excellent erasmus! Just be sure these are actually trades where you were able to get an order into the market in time to get a fill - even if demo. You do not want to include data from trades you would have missed, etc.

But you are certainly gathering some valuable information. Just the win/loss record of "setting it and forgetting" ought to be an incredible confidence booster. Divergence has taught you a powerful trading methodology. Your statitics will help you close that profit gap, which looks to me to be a gap of 108 ticks, or $540 per contract over the current series of 13 trades.

Of course, you need a 20 trade sample, and then do it again. But you can see the profit gap clearly. And that extra $540/contract will buy you a lot of confidence!

Put another way, every time you enter a trade, the set it and forget it approach is worth an extra $41.54/mouse click - win, lose, or draw!

just running this through for a different month atm .. apr 18 .. will post findings when done

The other stat you want to track is how far does it go in your favor before coming back to a breakeven -1 stop? Why -1? Because everyone is going to have a stop at +1 (how many times have you seen price come back to you +1 stop and then reverse in your favor after taking you out?

The reason you want to know how far price continues in your favor without retracing your entry is that you want to see if it makes sense to trade 2 contracts - take profit on one at 25 ticks, then move the stop to break even -1 and let the other contract run for 25 points or more!

Hey Div, long time no see ;-) Took a break from trading due to personal reasons, but will start again soon.

Do you only use 30 second charts instead of tick charts nowaydays?
