I wonder if we'd all be more successful if our account simply said "demo" even though it was live. Oh to freely jump in to juicy looking trades without fear of failure!

LOL,funny.It affects dofferently on different human beings,on some ppl phsycology works,others dont because they use thier mind and reasoning and pshychology.I am less affected by pschycology.This thread is about funny posts? we should have one thread for humour and fun,it lightens the stress and burden of detrimental effects of trading.
"8 years" are OK assuming that you have a job and you like it.. there are psychological factors to overcome u know

What keeps us going is passion . You cannot succeed unless you are determined to do so. I personally I m 6years in, lost my girlfriend that I loved so dearly and planned to marry to a margin call.
When you see it, BET big.
Honestly, I can not imagine how one should be crazy about something and keep doing for 8 years despite total lose. I would give up. What motivates you? Simply how do you live and what else are you doing for living? Maybe it is the right time to try something new?

Remember that Winrate goes hand in hand with r:r, you can still lose money even if you re right about 90% of the time

R:R is a flawed assumption that doesn't materialise. Nobody can know where price will stall and reverse and any assumption is self diagnosed nonsense that leads to failure.

A 70% hit rate should be profitable so dont change the strategy just the way you manage trades. Also dont add to losers it won't end well.

If you have tangible information that supports adding then yes otherwise you are just assuming and it can also end badly

I have same opinion like you but from my experience i think add on winner can be dangerous because unexpected events. Like Brexit, can not predict. What if i add my position right before Brexit news like today. I bet on weakening uk economic

I am not allowed to disclose techniques not would it be prudent. Efficient market hypothesis states a stampede of opportunists will remove any disclosed edge.

Let me however tell you, I was once like you.

There is an edge. The market reveals its intents easily within the last 1-3 hours of any given time. Go back to basics. Review principles of price actions.

I was once on the road of a gazillion indicators, self promoting trading experts, you name it. After studying the charts over and over again, my eyes will never be closed again to the market's intents.

One hint, learn to code to test your theories.
