performance of three weeks from 1st February 2019 till now
balance 250usd lot 0.01 took all engulfing trades during 3 weeks, lets see what will happen next week

Hi, I am new here but trading this system from October. The thread is very quiet last days, How was February results?

For now those are my monthly results: +4,9%, -1,9%, +1,3%, +3,6%.

Not impresive results but I think they are ok, so I only trade 12 pairs and only London sesion, I made an average of 20 trade/Month.

I think It is a good system and I have room for improvement I' ll continue trading it next months.

I am looking forward to Hzs10 results.

imho, I think you can try exactly this but with adjusting lot size so that every trade win or lose is the same : ) I think it's more objective to volatility

okay so I just make 4 working hours backtesting on 5 major pairs from the beginning of 2018 till now
Win Loss
EURUSD: 41 27 = +14
GBPUSD: 41 32 = +9
USDJPY: 17 30 =-13
USDCAD: 32 27 =+5
USDCHF: 30 26 = +4
(USDxxx pair have big drawdown or losing streak)

not bad results but I am sure the results wil be improved this way:

- Only candles from Asian open to London close. (I did some stats that confirm this)
- Excluding too big/small candles.
- Candle colour agree with our trade.
- Avoid flat MA.
- Not reflected in bactesting but spread increase on rollover is a killer for small SL/TP trades.If I can I try to avoid overnight trades

Interesting.
You have identified an active time range.
Have you had a look at the London/Frankfurt Opening Range strategy? Do you think the underlying principle makes sense?
Do you think it has an edge?
The asian 4-hour bar pattern you look for represents some kind of market behaviour. Yes/No?

If you believe the above, would it make sense to consider that Tokyo/ HK might also have an opening range behaviour?
If so, would it make sense to look at the hours the asian sessions open, rather than have it obscured within a 4-hour bar?
Might be worth a look.
Then the strategy is understood in the context of institutions behaviour and their wakey times rather than just a bar on a chart.
You might get in earlier and/or have a tighter entry/SL rather than using "Fibs". Do you think this might refine your edge?

You seem to have added a good filter (times). Thought you might want to extend your logic to fine-tuning which bar you are trading.
Not guaranteeing anything, but thats how I would look at it.

_There would be only 6 candles a day, so if we subtract overnight candle, we would subtract a large number of those trade too, besides, I find that even at these overnight time, there wouldn't add to losing streak much. In fact, I find out that most of the losing trade was in EU and SA season haha (OC in my experience).
_Those big fat candle generate more win than lose, it just blew my mind.
_When any trade which had its wick or body touch the MA, that wasn't count. As a result, most of the trade was safe from sideway itself.
_You were right about overnight trade, but since we are trading in H4, the spread isn't that much problem as we did in intraday trading.

_I will try backtesting again but this time in H1, or higher R:R, or something like that.
