As a rookie, ive learned that we learn from mistakes. Yes i was eager enough with the demo acc and went straight into trading and my acc got wiped out twice. Theres a price for learning and gain some knowledge. Its always the greed feeling that put one at a loss. To me yes we need some skill and knowledge rather than placement on gut feeling. For a layman trading is buy low sell high, nonpain no gain, only money makes money, high risk high return, higher capital higher gain. Some of it.
Thanks to some of my sifu for guidance. If not i wouldnt learn anytg. Just chill.

Yes, it’s hard but! Making profit doesn’t mean, 100% success ratio; basically 100% success ratio is impossible in trading.

That’s the reality; a number of traders get super-excited after finding a entry point without verifying it’s quality.

The misconception that borderline illegal advertising has created is that trading is easy. "Open account, read book and trade today!!!"

To actually be worthwhile takes an extraordinary amount of time, effort, blood, sweat, tears and let's not kid ourselves, a certain amount of natural talent.
Humans are naturally hardwired to avoid and detest uncertainty.

the most important thing in my opinion which is not really considered by traders is the act of actually failing and being able to stand the test of time and build a resistant skin when things dont go your way. Almost every trader is perfect and always in the right mind when things go well from a predictive point of view. the real deal is how one handles his/her self when things turn dark and unfavorable. trading is a personal experience everyone need to have with the markets. What works for a different trader might not work for you because we are all naturally different in our own ways. For a different trader holding a trade for 1 week is no issue but for another trader anxiety wont allow a peace of mind and so such a person would be more stable when trading systems that suit the lifestyle.

I strongly contradict your opinion. Mastering the trading skill requires a lot of experience. You have to try out various strategies first and then work upon your own trading style. It’s only with practice that you are able to begin earning good profits. You may be fortunate to hit and try a trade and get good profits out of it; however that is not a permanent phenomenon.
I believe proper research and training is must to master this skill.

I have to massively disagree. Whilst I agree to some degree that trading can be perceived as gambling, i do believe earning continuous profits does require some sort of skill.

Serious traders follow economic news and trade according to timing etc. Unlike actual gambling, forex trading does require one to know when to place a trade, what currencies to trade and when.
