As I understand it you are absolutely correct, however, may be a while before you can determine failure as currently price seems to be oscillating around both bear support candle levels at ~2799.
I hedged that buy once it went into profit around the ema and touched the last 5min swing high but now I think im about to get stopped out edit - out, difficult to trade in the tight range, {image}

+18 so far today but does look like we're struggling in a tightish range. Will keep monitoring for potential. Of interest may be the recent 1H ABCD target of 2758
